| LOL Dave, in all fairness, I had woken them up from their nap for the photos, so I *kinda* am to blame. But yeah, furry punk he is at times, LOL |

Thank you Ronin! I have an idea for Joey! Put him in a Christmas stocking! It will be Christmasy and he can't go anywhere Bonus points if you can get Leo to hold the stocking |

| So a few weeks ago, after not being able to take any more of 3 mopey faces Kohdi, Mishka's and mine)that there was no more grass, I laid down new seed and fenced off the area (which meant 3 more weeks of mopey faces) today was the day I took down the fencing...the air was filled with excitement... First, they did their happy dance... they hugged... They kissed... It was a joyous occasion... <sighs> how long will THIS grass last though Then they resumed thir positions of watching over their domain... When all was said and done, I had one husky pancake... and then one and a half, just kidding, Mishka is a whole husky, so 2 husky pancakes |

| Jimmy - you tell such wonderful stories with your pics...I always smile so thank you As for the grass lasting - do you have enough land that you could do a mini version of rotational grazing? That is, let them play in 1 area for 2 weeks, than close that off and give them another? Also - did you use a playground mixture with tougher grass? But - I know nothing about grasses for warm weather climates so your county extension service would be the best source of information. |

| Thanks everyone! @Renee and Dave...thank you!!! I'm not sure why you don't recognize the view, many of my pics are taken there...however, I usually crop my pics (cuz they get shrunken when I post them in here so I crop out a lot of the background to make my dogs bigger) and my favorite shrub that was on the lawn died so I'm wondering if those 2 things are the reason. I didn't really crop so much this time cuz the pics are mostly blurry so I didn't see the point, haha. @Ronin...thank you! The domain pic is one of my favorites as well, but Kohdi was just about to sit so his hind end looks funny, lol. @Amy...thank you so much for that!!! The slope/canyon until the street down below is my property but not great for growing grass, haha. I have been thinking of starting grass in those flats that ground cover comes in though, to patch areas as they come up. The grass seed itself is supposedly used in ball parks and stuff so we will see how it does. It sure doesn't grow very fast! Thanks again everyone |

| Hahaha Danielle, I noticed that too! In one pic I honestly couldn't tell which was which (the blurriness doesn't help, lol, I can usually spot Kohdi by his white neck marking ) Mishka is about 3/4 the size of Kohdi , which for a female, I'd say is about right. However Kohdi will often lay down to play with her, LOLOL especially when they're playing tug of war. Mishka's features are really petite though...I edited in one more Santa hat pic in the last post of her scrapbook where u can really see how tiny her little face is, it adds to the allusion of being small I think.
We finally had some rain so things are not looking so dead here...I hope it keeps up, I lost a few of my favorite plants.
Thank you so much Danielle |

| @ Zoe, Thank you! I had already turned my camera off when Mishka stood on that rock, Im lucky she stayd long enough for me to get that pic cuz I really like that pic, it has a paceful look to it (to me anyways)...out of 5 huskies Ive had in my life, these are the only 2 to pancake, haha, the others did that adorable husky "ball" which I just love, these 2 do it but not nearly often enough for me @Haley, thank you so much! I just wish the dancing pic was clearer...Im nopt sure if changing my camera setting to "action" will help for pics like that, i need to experiment I guess. And before I forget...again! (I feel so bad about it too) Thank you J! I seem to miss your posts sometimes and I feel horrible! I appreciate any post I get so to leave you out maks me feel really bad, im so sorry So...lawn update...3 holes already dug in it yesterday by the time I came home from work...2 more today...todays were MISHKA! I caught her in the act both times! A few funny pics from today... Starts out innocent enough... (This one cracks me up) Mishka was being a big meanie to Kohdi... Kohdi pouting cuz Mishka was a big meanie to him, LOLOL |

| My gosh Jimmy they do have some major fluff going on. Do they blow coat at all? I know your weather stays pretty much warm compared to where I am, as in moderate temps, but I never see them in that horrible, mangy wolf look, that Miya gets. |

| Thank you J Mishka had him pinned, LOL, and Kohdi was like " help me, help me, I'm being attacked by an elf!" Hahaha. I have a pic of Kohdi getting payback (pretty cool pic too, Kohdi has her leg in his mouth, LOLOL) it's funny as hell. @Renee, Kohdi did earlier this year have a mild blowing, as in little tufts were coming loose here and there but not a full on coat blow. The breeder is in California as well and when I picked up Mishka from her, Kohdi's dad and brother were having full on coat blow so I do know this coat can blow, haha, but mine just havnt. They are not outside dogs though so I don't think their bodies experience the temperature fluctuations that *may* be necessary for a coat blow (?) . Btw, in here, when someone posts they're "fluffy" I always get self conscious that they're really telling me they are fat...I hope it's not the case though. I see them everyday so getting fat isn't something I'd pick up on probably |

| Jimmy, the only way to know if there's excess fat in all that fur is to put your hands on them, work your fingers down in and feel for ribs, spine and hips... should be able to feel individual ribs with a bit of padding. If the spine and hips are sharp to the touch, maybe too skinny. If you have to work to find individual ribs, maybe too fat. I can't tell a good weight for Ami just by looking so he gets a part down at least once per week. I wouldn't worry so much if Wayne didn't always think Ami''s starving because he wants a snack |
