| Hi Everyone, I haven't posted in awhile but hope you all can give me some training advice.
My husband and I just adopted a 2 yr old female for our 5 year old male. We really wanted another one to help ours out with his separation anxiety and give him some more play time. She's a real gem and a cuddle bug and listens (for the most part) with basic commands. We just got her this past week so everything is still new for her and for us and our 5 yr old Husky.
We have seen our Husky Jack be extremely submissive 99.9% of his life with zero talking, barking, or play biting. Now all of a sudden with this new little lady Sasha he is this provoker. She has a lot of puppy energy but we are concerned how often a pair of huskies are playing or if this is something we should be concerned about. They will wrestle and zoom around the house for about 5 minutes and then grab water and lay down and then 20 min later the same thing.
Is this something to be concerned about? Are they just trying to work it out? Is this typical play? Nobody has yelped or seemed to be put off by the other. I just need to know that this constant wrestling and zooming is normal or not.
Thoughts and ideas would be so appreciated. If I need to train them to be together how do I go about it? |

| I was concerned about something similar - my son got a 4 month old husky mix puppy that we puppy-sit when son is out of town. The pup and Ami have a grand ole time - zooming, running, tusseling, hauling each other around by the fur, the neck, the leg, the tail...looks like they are going to kill each other - either by mauling to death or heart attack But really, they are having the best of time. Though, I do wonder with all the energy they expend when they are together, outside, how on earth people have 2 huskies inside the house All I can imagine is mayhem and destruction... |

| My lab and shepherd mix were the same way when they were younger (now 12). As long as they both keep going back for more and they stop when one yelps or tries to back away, I think it sounds fine to me. I did have to teach them the outside command they would go barrelling out of the house while playing. It can be a little intense at first to see to dogs playing so much and so hard. |

| My two can do a number when playing in the house. There's snarling, growling, barking, and tails make clean sweeps of anything on the coffee table whether it be a full glass of tea or the day's mail. They too play in spurts where they will lay around for a while and be calm and the next instant one of them is getting up and biting the others ears or neck or leg, goading the other into playing. When we first got Keno we thought he was going to bug Kenzi to death since he just wouldn't leave her alone, now that things have settled it's the other way around. She picks on him constantly. _________________ |

| This is very encouraging to hear that it's totally normal! They are both done with their zoom around the house, for now, and are passed out on their own beds while I finally get to have some coffee and news However, Sasha did just have an accident while I vacuumed, not sure if she has ever been around one before but poor thing was so frightened. |
