Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. This is what happens every time I go to the dog park... Sometimes a lot more loudly and impossible to hold on to her as she flips out, this is actually a VERY mild version of a usual.
Sorry for all the car noise, daughters game, and high pitched husky whines (not like anyone isn't used to that HAHAH)
Just wanted to see if anyone has similar scenarios.

Omg, Lucy....Too funny, but um yes she gets the crazies for Tractor Supply and her Uncle Justins, don't have a dog park around here, but Uncle Justins is the dog park to her. If I say Uncle Justin she goes spazz on me, lol....Loved the video!! Renee

Yup! Maya knows the park where we walk and if we drive by she gives me a look like I must stupid to have missed it! She is allowed in Ace Hardware and knows when we pull into that parking lot, TSC and she has to find Clerk Audy cuz she always has a treat, and she also has a "special" friend at Pet Smart again, a treat giver. Oh, and "The Bark Market" where I get her food, they have homemade treats, I think I'm seeing a pattern here.

YES!! All three of mine this exact thing from the time they see me grab their leashes until we arrive at the dog park, which is about a 15 minute commute. Cries, whines, pulling, jumping, bolting, and acting a complete fool until they get into the gates.
I thought my crew were the only ones, but I'm so happy to hear I'm not alone!

Diz remembers every single place he's EVER gotten a treat. All pet stores within a 3 mile radius of both work and home. He knows where all his buddies live (and tries to enter those apartment buildings, especially Rosie's), and where all the dog parks are, even if we've never actually gone into that particular one. He also knows whether we are going for a normal walk or to daycare, for a car ride, or somewhere totally new. He knows which car is ours, in a sea of hundreds (in NYC it's never parked on the same street, or the same block). If he sees me pack a bag, he will be on the hunt for our car. He knows where the vet's offices are, which he LOVES (because there are women there that give him treats). And, he knows where ANY fountain is within a 3 mile radius of our apartment and tries to pull my arm off to get to them (yes, he tries to play in all fountains). He also knows when the walk is ending and we are headed home, so not only does he conveniently 'forget' which stoop is ours, he begins to walk SLOW! I mean like the 17 year old 8 lb beagle next door walks faster. Along with walking slow, he makes eye contact and flirts with random passersby, and MUST sniff every centimeter. So, yeah. I'd say he knows where the dog park is...

That is so funny - and so like Ami. The closer to home we get, the slower he walks - sometimes, on our return, he actually stops and just sits...or even worse, lays down in the middle of the road. Passive resistance gets whole new meaning when it's a husky that doesn't want to move

Oh yeah, definitely not alone on this one. Dakota will start trembling with excitement as soon as she can smell the other dogs (we could still be a mile away) and Diablo will start whining. Demon stays quiet but puts himself on alert...
