| I've got a bunch of pictures coming your way so I thought I'd share these old fall pics from my camera before my upcoming winter photo dump. Most of these are from my camera (except the gorgeous one of Faith/Glory together in the blue bed...have to give hubby credit for that photo!) so don't think it's a reflection of my hubby the cruddy pics are all my responsibility. Dakota and Faith checking out their new patio just after we moved into our new house. All that moving and unpacking is exhausting, time for a break. I likes my new house and bone Oh...squirrel in the woods outside! Impatiently waiting for their Honest Kitchen to rehydrate. Five minutes is like an eternity for these three! Hubby's gorgeous photo of the chi girls... That's it for now. I promise there will be much more and better pictures coming soon! _________________

Yes, for as long as I've had him it's been like that. Although when we adopted him he had a LOT more black to him, over the years and with the seasons he has lightened dramatically. Here's a pic of him when we brought him home from the shelter, what a color difference from today! _________________ |

| LOVE the pictures!! How is the new house?! I bet Dakota is loving this chilly weather we are having huh? I have to force Sora back inside so I can turn on the heater! She refuses to be outside unless the door to the house stays open... nasty habit when it is freezing outside!! |

| The new house is great and our yard is being fenced as we speak. They are mostly done and our fence should be done by tomorrow at the latest. Once the fence is complete I've invited my neighbor who has a husky over for a play date. Oh he is so loving the cold, Dakota wants to stay outside at all times. Takes everything I have to get him back inside. The colder the weather, the happier he is. Even on our 21 degree walk this morning he was bounding around like a puppy on Christmas. | Great pictures, Val! And yeah, I think the black outline is more noticeable because the rest of his body has gotten so much lighter! I want pics of that fence once it's up! Your chi girls are just adorable. Best looking chi's I've ever seen _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Haha what a great present for dogs, a fenced in yard!! Hope that continues to go well! If you are ever in the West Ashley area, or going downtown, lemme know, and I could make my way down there for a play date! I finally bribed Sora in after my thermostat dipped below 60.... >.< She is curled up on the couch with me now acting like she is cold... silly husky!! |

And with how much this fence is costing us, it's the only thing the dogs are getting for Christmas this year! Heck, the fence is partially my Christmas present too. lol - sw33t_angel wrote:

Your chi girls are just adorable. Best looking chi's I've ever seen Thanks Tori! Will definitely get some pics of the fence once completed. It's already looking absolutely wonderful with a top rail and trim board and post caps, costs a pretty penny but looks sooo good! It's hard the resist the chi girls when they pose like they did in that last pic, huh? Just makes ya want to melt. _________________ |

| That is an amazing yard and GORGEOUS fence!! I am *so* jealous!! I'm saving this thread so I can show my hubby... our fence is really old and not quite 6 feet all around... it needs a little TLC. I'd love to get that wrought iron fence up in a few places so Nikolai can look out and see what's goin' on...
If you don't mind my asking, ballpark, how much did that cost you to have done? (Maybe per 6' section?) |

If you don't mind my asking, ballpark, how much did that cost you to have done? (Maybe per 6' section?) Thank you, it came out looking better than I had pictured in my head. We are extremely pleased. Wrought iron is an option but it is insanely expensive, we got black powder coated aluminum which is still expensive but much cheaper than wrought iron and still looks the same. Our 6 ft wood privacy fence cost $15 per linear foot. Our 6 ft black aluminum fencing cost $150 per 6 foot panel, it's not cheap! _________________ |

| Frickin SWEET!!! Now that's a yard that really makes ours feel like a crate. Looks like a wildlife sanctuary for the little ones. You could recreate their original habitat in there! Not that we could put a fence like that here, but how far under ground level does the iron-look stuff go? My idiot dogs can't handle being able to see out. They get diggy-jumpy destructive. |

Jenn, the chi girls can easily go right through the aluminum bars. Fortunately Chihuahuas are more reliable off lead than huskies. Faith wandered right through the bars today and one call had her running back, so I'm not worried about the chi girls too much. - harrise wrote:

Thanks Eddy! We did not opt for either the wood privacy or the black aluminum fencing to go underground although you can get anything you want. The aluminum fence is custom made to order so really the sky's the limit with that stuff. We certainly do have a digger in our sibe however it is a rule in our house that none of the dogs are ever outside unattended. I've just heard too many horror stories to be comfortable leaving the dogs in the yard without supervision. Yeah, the birds and squirrels are a big distraction but Dakota seems to know his limits and with someone outside watching at all times he doesn't try anything funny...so far! - Muddy~Mira wrote:

We shouldn't have that problem since ours are always under close supervision in the yard. My next project will be constructing a sand box for the dogs so they have an appropriate place to unleash their digging passion. I've got an idea for what I want to do so now it's just figuring out where to put the sandbox...definitely not close to the fence for sure! Next year we're also going to put in a lot of plants (shrubs, trees and flowers), a vegetable garden (to feed the bottomless pit guinea pigs), of course the sand box, and get a kiddie pool for the furries. - sw33t_angel wrote:

Oh they most certainly have...well, our sibe has anyway! lol We wanted privacy on the sides of the house but it would have been a shame to block out the view of the woods in the back, especially since wild deer, hawks, eagles, and other wildlife frequently hang out back there. I am concerned about gators though, our neighbor had an alligator in his backyard a few months ago. _________________ |
