2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. I don't really know where to place this, but here's my situation. My husband and I got orders to be stationed at McConnell AFB, Kansas. Everything was fine until we were told we were going to deploy, both of us. So we took our dogs: Kira, Cheyanne, Kratos, and Zeus to SC to stay with family. As it ended up neither me or my husband deployed, but have not been able to go get our babies back. On 25 May, my family was watching my lovely Cheyanne. Everything was fine until my brother-in-law's girlfriend decided to take Kira (Full-grown GSD), her Husky puppy and Cheyanne out for a walk. She took them all at the same time by herself. Kira loves to pull and when she is on the scent, you have to know how to control her. Well the stupid gf did not know this about Kira and she lost control of her. While trying to get Kira back, she lost control of Cheyanne. Kira came back to the person walking her, because we trained her that way, but Cheyanne is not like Kira. She ran off and after barely looking or her, she gave up. It has been over a month and I have done everything I can in SC, while I live in Kansas. If anyone in SC could please help and find my baby, Cheyanne.

I'm sorry to hear this...have you contacted humane societies? Any husky specific rescues?

I hope you find her!

I've done a ton of contacting over Facebook. My mother-in-law posted her picture at the shelters and vet offices.

Have you tried H2M2? They have a vast network across the USA that may be able to help. They're on Facebook

Have you tried your local Craigslist..the animal shelter?

My two just escaped a couple of night's ago, and I was lucky some random stranger picked them up and took them to the pound. I just picked them up yesterday!! I really hope you find her. It's a scary feeling knowing she's out there.

Good luck!!

Definitely search Craigslist. We've rescued many dogs from the street and have been able to reunite them with their owners via CL posts. Sometimes the "lost" ad is up, and sometimes it was our "found" ad that got us in touch with the owners. All of the shelters and humane societies where we live also have a section of their website for both lost AND found dogs. Check there and post there too, if you haven't already!

Good luck, from one Air Force family to another!

It's hard for me to set up posters or get in contact with places, since I'm in Kansas. My family has contact the shelters and gone to vet offices. The crappy thing about SC is the Craigslist only shows for major cities. Where my husband's family is from Camden, a small time not listed on there.

I searched for you. It looks like Columbia is the closest big city near Camden. You can post there, and when you list location, you can type in Camden area or whatever you want. You can search under "pets" for "lost" or "found" and see what others have done to try and help reunite people with their pets. I did not see anyone who has posted a "found" ad for your Sibe though. Also, you can search under "pets" for "husky" and should be able to constantly watch for someone who found y our dog and is trying to rehome it. Keep up the hope!

Sharing in the H2M2 NC group. Search facebook for SC buy/sell/trades or other groups like that. They are usually quite large groups with consistent traffic.
