| My vet suggested adult dog food at 2 months. We have always had Simon on adult food. Now we feed our dogs twice a day every day all there lives. Our though behind it is first that they are gulping less food down at and time so less likely to make themselves barf and second that if we wake up late or are late getting home they are not going more than 24 hours with out food. |

| We feed all our animals twice a day. It really helps, especially with managing our Cocker Spaniel's weight. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I feed 2x daily plus little "handouts" on walks and a ritual at night of stuffing the Kong (1 for you, 3 for the kong. Repeat until 1/3 cup of food is gone.) The ritual and the handouts are for both me and dog...it is part of his overall food "budget) and we all (me, hubby and dog) enjoy the contact. Also seems to make dog stay vewy, vewy close to me |

| We feed raw so it's a little different. At first we fed twice a day, but we quickly ditched because or dogs wouldn't eat what they needed to maintain weight. 2 months on raw and Cato lost weight because he wasn't hungry enough by the time dinner hit. He is really skinny so I couldn't have him losing more wight, we switched to once a day and all the dogs eat everything....even Delilah who is a grazer. We do give treats through out the whole day and chews and bones. |

| Our youngest is 5 months and is on twice/day feeding. We move to a once a day feeding schedule around a year with ours, but we start them on the adult formula. Through the summer/off season they get 1 structured meal a day. Through working season they still get their one large meal, but they also get pre-run baiting, trail treats, and post run treats. |

| Huskies are quite different from other dog breeds. What I do with mine is, feed him 2x a day, he doesn't always finish the first or second bowl. Huskies won't eat unless they are hungry. Most other breeds would finish their food bowl in a second. We leave food out for him all the time and he eats as he pleases. Hope it helps |

My boy eats...and eats...and eats...and eats some more. He would be a tub of lard if I did not control his intake! I feed twice a day plus a "bedtime snack" kong - but it's for social/bonding time not dietary - he likes to eat, its rewarding to feed him, I have the time so we just do it. No food issues with my guy. |

| Mine is the same, Amy! Lol.
He would probably eat himself to death if he could. I feed twice a day and feed my 1.5 year old 55 lb boy 1.75 cups a day. He gets 3/4 of a cup on the morning and a full cup for dinner. _________________ |

| Diz eats twice a day. 1/2 or 3/4 cup at 6 or 7 the morning, and 1/2 cup at around 6 pm. He's old enough that I could go to one feeding a day, but his stool is more consistently solid with twice a day feeding. He has a super sensitive digestive system so I do whatever works. When I was feeding raw, it was once a day in the evening and that was from about the age of 6 months to a year. I think you'd be fine trying out once a day feeding to see how it goes. |
