| So we took all 3 dogs for a walk this evening. Left the house around 8:30p.m. got back around 9. Not a tremendously long walk, maybe a mile (I didn't track it this time). We get home and all three are dying for water which is normal. What wasn't normal is that Diablo didn't seem to recover as quickly as Demon and Dakota and he's younger. He was panting for a long time after Demon and Dakota stopped and he seemed to have weak legs. It was really weird, I've never seen that happen before! It's now 10:30 p.m. and he seems fine, just tired. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this before?? |

| Hi!
Our Loki is just 7 months and since its been quite hot out, he pants after every single walk for a while and then relaxes and sleeps. It doesn't sound unusual to me...but maybe it is... |

| Thanks Sophia, maybe I'm just an overreacting husky mom. He seems absolutely normal this morning. |

Ditto...since it started heating up (which is relative, once it got to be above 40° is the reference point ), Ami has been panting a lot. So, I'm thinking OMG, he's got collapsing trachea, OMG he's got laryngeal paralysis, or low thyroid or....husband just rolls his eyes and says "listen to your dog, if he's too hot, stop, give him some water". Last night went to a cruise in/street festival - one guy there had a 2 yr old malamute ( BIG dog, lots and lots of hair! Owner said he was 125 pounds) and he was panting as much as Ami does. Temp was high 60's Still, I fuss... |

| He's done a lot of growing in the last couple of months, so after talking with a few people we think he just cramped up A LOT. We need to get him in shape for hikes...so we'll start working with him and giving him massages. (If only MY life were that good)... |

HeHeHE...I'm really level-headed when it comes to most things - kids, no worries, my usual response is measured, wait and see...but the dog? MY BABY?!!? at least the hubby tolerates it... |
