2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Can I run my puppy in a field? Empty
PostSubject: Can I run my puppy in a field?   Can I run my puppy in a field? EmptyTue May 27, 2014 1:08 pm

So being a new Husky owner, I was unaware of not running the dogs on pavement until they get older. I have a large grass field about a block from my house that is about 30 acres. Would it be any problem taking them out there and jogging a little with them for 10-15 minutes? I'm still working on the running part myself so I only run a few hundred yards at time then have to walk for a bit. I will say that when I did take for a walk/jog it was only a mile and they seemed to love it each time.

Also they are 9-10 weeks old right now.

Thanks for any ones help.

Chad

I'd say the most you could do at 9-10 weeks would be to put them on a long lead and let them run around while you walk. Be careful of pests and waste from other animals. They aren't fully vaccinated and can pick up some nasty stuff at this age. You shouldn't be jogging with them at all at this age.
