| Mine are not blowing their coats right now...in fact Dakota only blows his coat in the summer time. Is that unusual? |

| Dang it. Should have made this post a few weeks ago. Siku is just at the tail end of blowing coat. But she looked just like your pics, just in grey and white. lol. There was soo much hair! And she looked so ragged. It was embarrassing to take her in public. lol. And she looks sooooo skinny now too. I saved maybe about 1/4th of her hair to send to my mom's friend who spins dog fur. I'll take a pic of that and what remains of the fur covering my pourch floor. _________________ -Sara |

Jenn I think that's the first picture i've seen of Sierra with her eyes all the way open! _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Ginger hasn't really started yet...
Sully looked like he hasn't had a good brushing in a while, so we Furminated him a little when we picked him up... _________________ |

| Okay I dug up an old photo from one of our boy's past coat blows. I took this pic after I think maybe 15-20 minutes of brushing on a mildly breezy winter afternoon, I have no idea what year. This was just some of the fur that came off from brushing him, a lot of it blew away in the breeze! _________________ |

| i just don't know where it all comes from! i mean 15 min after spending 30min brushing Jack and he has fur bunnies sticking out of him again!!!! he has NEVER been this bad before. but Denver has had a VERY mild winter up until about 2 weeks ago, now we are getting a snow storm every few days.
on a side question is it safe to have a blowing husky out in the cold for a long time since all their undercoat is falling out? this might sound silly to some but i am just not sure... i mean i look at jacks hind legs and i can see right past his guard hairs with no fluffy white fur keeping him warm. _________________ |

| Yeah... Nikolai is shedding a lot. I wouldn't quite say he's blowing coat, but he's getting there. When my previous huskies were losing chunks of fur, we called in the professional groomers. They have magical ways of making the constant fur balls stop. :-)
ETA: Dakota looks great after he's all brushed!! You can almost make a fur-angel out of all that! Hahahaha |

| I will never understand how a husky blows so much of it's coat out.. where do you hide it all? I feel like it's one of those tricks similar to when a bunny comes out of a hate.. I just don't get it..
I can already tell Koda will start next month, uhggggggg. |

| I really need to clean my car, this is what I get for carting the Captain around while he's blowing coat.... E-brake Between the seats Rear Floor boards I took a picture of the rear seat too but, the direct sunlight washed out all the detail and you can't really see just how much hair there is... |

| Wow, the vacuum is your friend! Man, I thought my car was bad! I vacuum my car out in detail each time I take my husky anywhere in it. I'm OCD about cleanliness though. _________________ |

| When it comes to keeping things clean inside my home I'm doing 10x better than the average 22 year old guy lol. Somehow my car always seems to get skipped on cleaning days though |

| Reiko has been blowing his coat for about a month now as well. I've got a bout a garbage bag full of his hair. He was super fluffy because he was kept outside for 2 months before I got him. This pic was after a few brushings lol. |

| This is my first experience with Husky blowing and omg it's like non-stop clumps of fur coming out. It's been going on almost 2 weeks now, mainly his hind legs. It's like no matter how much I brush, it's never ending lol
I know each dog is different, but how long does blowing typically last for? |
