Brick is a 14 month old siberian. His fur is nice and I groom him often, but I was wondering if there's anything I should do to keep it nice and soft... or will it naturally stay this way so long as I maintain it? I feed him TOTW and various treats & bones, but nothing specifically for his fluff yet. Any recommendations?

Feeding a small amount of coconut oil (1 tsp a day) will help keep up the coat. You can even put it directly on the fur but that can get messy.

What do you mean "groom him often" it is possible to bath them to much and dry out there skin and coat and cause issues. But if you just mean lots of brushing that's fine. I have to bath Simon a bit more than I like because I have a sister with allergy issues. Fish oil and coconut oil are good for the coat. I also sometimes give them actual fish mostly sardines that have been kept in water.

Feeding a high quality food like TOTW is fantastic.

Oh, I meant grooming as in brushing! I've only bathed him once when I got him at 5 months old (because who knows where he's been!) I feed him TOTW.

How do I incorporate coconut oil? Do I use actual oil or is it more like butter that I just mix in with the food? & how do I know how much?

I also heard that coconut oil is good for protecting their paws and keeping their nose moisturized, is that true?

If you are happy with his fur condition, why are you thinking about changing your routine?

I don't want to change his routine per se. He is still young and I was wondering if it was recommended to do anything to prevent it from becoming dull or otherwise. It's much like keeping his dental hygiene up, even though his teeth are perfectly healthy.

Yes it's fantastic and the nice thing about it that you can use it for dry skin or irritations and it's safe for them to eat. Coconut oil is a solid at room temperature unless you live in a very hot climate. You can just give to to them every dog I know is happy to eat it straight. But it will melt super easy it will just melt in your hand. So you could melt it in there food or give it straight.

I mostly just use it with my Pibble Sadie she has dry skin and issues with itching Simon just gets a little because how do you give something to one and not the other? But it's a good thing for when they are older. I also use it on his feet if they look irradiated
