Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. | 6 Month husky male just neutered. He has always had his hair stand up like a mohawk for just about everything. Playing (human or dog), new things, new people. Never straight up aggression but im just wondering if this is normal? |

| To me this sounds like insecurity. When they are insecure about new things they try to make themselves look bigger...this can also lead down a path toward aggression if not put into check. Sounds to me you need to be socializing more, introducing new things in a positive and nurturing manner, and likely consulting with a behavioralist. |

| Yeah definitely don't want any behavioral problems. For the most part its other dogs that the hair stand up. It is ususally when it's a new animal but he doesn't act aggressive and he will calm down after a little bit and start to play. Normally just the initial meeting of just about anything. However when i run around and play with him it happens as well. People are easiest to go up to, he goes slow but normally doesnt show the hair. |
