| why do you have to crate him outside? and again if you have time for one long walk why can you not just break that same time up during the day to just get him out more? can you do day care or have doggie playdates? are you working on mental training with him? have you tried to tether him to you so you can keep an eye on him when your home so he is not wrecking stuff. have you truly puppy proofed your home? if he is getting into things that makes me wonder if you have really removed all the stuff he likes to get into. _________________ |

| Give him some proper exercise such as biking, jogging, sledding etc. It will do wonders, promise. |

| We were eating lunch when this happened so we were unable to watch him. we put him outside for about 15 minsutes so we could eat lunch and he tries to dig under. so crating is the last thing we can think of doing. and he is WAY to hyper to take ANYWERE hardly. all we can do is walk him arounds our suberbain neighborhoods. it basically never snows here, jogging does not exsist to him only running and dragging who ever is walking him, I don't know many good things to mentaly stimulate him because he demolishes everything we give to him. we have about 2-3 training sessions a day. but they cannot be very long or he wont eat due to being filled up on treats. this is the first time he has tried to dig under the fence and actions need to be taken before he gets out. |

| Okay, this is going to be rough, but honestly, I think you need to find a husky rescue and surrender Turbo. You have written multiple threads like this and are not equipped to handle the ownership and care needed for a husky. Turbo needs someone who can dedicate the time and resources (training costs, time, energy, etc.) needed to give him a better life. Keeping a dog in a crate outside is not a good life and you know it. Do the right thing by him. |

| If you have time to sit around and play with him or if he has time to be loose and destroy things then you have time to properly walk him in an engaged way.
You have continued to make excuses over and over again for why you can't fulfill Turbo's needs. By doing so it seems like you are in over your head and you are unwilling and unable to make the situation any better whatsoever.
He doesn't need to be played with or to be given toys and things to destroy. Both are counterproductive to what he and you need.
I feel like you have continued to be unable to accept any advice given to you on here and you refuse to accept the order of operations for meeting Turbo's needs.
Are you in over your head? Seriously?? It's okay to admit it, really. |

| If you don't have the time to properly exercise or train Turbo, you might want to think about rehoming him or surrendering him to a husky rescue. He needs someone that will take the time to do all the things that you can't or won't to give him the life he deserves. Please don't be selfish and keep him just so he can be put in a crate outside. What kind of life is that for him? |

| Agreed with all of the above posters. Is there a doggy daycare in your area? It does wonders for not only exercise, but socialization as well. Yes it may be a little expensive, but it is very worth it in my experience.
It does sound like you will need to find ways to exercise him properly, or find a rescue that can take him. He is a young husky with loads of energy that he wants to exert. When he doesn't get the proper care, he acts out or redirects it somewhere else (like your fence). He needs and deserves the proper exercise, so I hope if you're unable to provide you consider a rescue. I'm sure we can help find a good one if that is the route you decide to take. |

| It certainly seems as if you are way over your head with this dog. Some dogs will lie quietly at your feet, content to just be near you. Not a Siberian husky...for me, one of the greatest attractions of this breed is it's sassy impudence and high energy. It sounds to me like your personal energy level is not a match for this breed. There is no shame in recognizing that you and the dog are mismatched. Please consider surrendering Turbo to a rescue specializing in Siberians - you deserve the peace of mind and Turbo deserves a home more suited to his energy. I'm sure you will be much happier in the long run. |

| Why did he have to be outside while you were eating lunch? I'm not sure about everyone else, but unless my backyard is husky-proofed (which is a relative term, I know) I don't let my dogs outside unattended. If they are outside I am outside. Why not eat your lunch outside? |

| After a few months of looking around here, I decided to create an account - mainly to reply to your thread. I completely agree with everyone who posted before me, but would like to stress that you shouldn't take this as a personal fail. Huskies are an amazing breed, but they're not lap dogs. You can't expect them to be happy with a walk. I myself take my oldest husky for 1-hour bike trips in the woods every evening after work, and even then he's still very active - that's normal. I've learned the hard way that you should always try and keep them in your sight - especially in your yard. Huskies enjoy roaming and they enjoy trying to escape. They're a very intelligent breed and get bored easily. The way I see it, you have 2 options :
- This one is the hardest - find your husky a new owner who has the time and stamina to give them proper exercise
- Keep your husky busy any way you can. That means (chewing) toys, taking them for runs and - VERY IMPORTANT - social contact, with other dogs and people (Try a dog school if there's one near you, otherwise dog parcs).
