| So about 2 weeks ago i went hiking with the pups on a fri. by sunday Jack had puked and had the runs, i gave him some of Sierras left over meds and they seemed to help some, but his poop was off and on all liquid or mush, he was also eating grass to puke. i took his poo in on fri to test and they just called saying there were no signs of anything in it... so what is making him sick. he is eating and drinking like normal. he is not one to pick up weird things to eat either. i guess the only thing i have not done is put him on a bland diet. im waiting for the vet to call me back and i know that will mean a visit and we just do not have the funds this week for that. ugh this boy was my healthy one, now we have an ear and eye thing that will not clear up and now a poop issue _________________ |

| Sorry to hear, Jenn. Layla's been having a similar issue for several weeks now. At one point she was puking and having diarrhea at the same time. We took her to the vet and they ran fecal tests and, like Jack, they came up with nothing. We went through a round of antibiotics and now she isn't puking anymore but, also like Jack, she is eating lots of grass or at least trying to if I don't stop her in time. Otherwise she's fine, energetic as usual, eating and drinking normally. I tried putting half a teaspoon of psyllium husk powder in each meal and it seemed to firm up her poops a little bit to where they were formed but still soft and mocha-colored. I've since stopped the psyllium powder and it seems like she's getting back to normal. For the first time in a few weeks she had firm poop today.
If all fecal tests come back negative and he seems otherwise healthy, maybe the psyllium husk powder will help (it's the key ingredient in Metamucil, a natural bulk-forming laxative) along with a bland diet for a day or two. |

| That sucks, Jenn. You could also try fasting him for 24 hours to see if that will "reset" his system and then feed a bland diet for a couple of days. If his poop improves, you can start to reintroduce his kibble. I hope you can get it straightened out soon. |
