Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Strange lump Empty
PostSubject: Strange lump    Strange lump EmptyWed Apr 16, 2014 2:51 pm

Hey, so Logan has had lump on his neck for a while now the vets said it's nothing to worry about but it has got bigger he dosent seem to bother him up you can squeeze it and touch it and he dosent care, the vet said he dosent think it is cancerouse. I just want to know if anyone has had the same thing with their dog.
So it looks like a skin tag but the only way I can really describe it is when you where a kid putting your  bike helmet on and you clip your skin in the clip on the helmet.
I will upload pictures soon
Thanks in advance

If I were you I would get a second opinion something doesn't sound right it, I'm not a vet so I don't know for a fact but it just seems like something that should get checked out again.

It could be a skin tag. It might also just be a mass of fatty tissue, I've had dogs that have gotten that and they might get bigger then shrink. Sometimes they just get bigger though and must be removed out of comfort for the dog even though they aren't cancerous. I would want my vet to be more sure though than your vet sounds. If your vet doesn't THINK it's cancerous it might be okay, but then I would want my vet to KNOW and do the necessary tests to lock that down. If your vet isn't willing to look into it and be more sure I second Rachel's suggestion to get a second opinion.

Strange lump 1636ab965533584dbe3c8b0085220979

This is what it looks like, we have recently just moved to norway from cambridge England and are trying to find a good vet by speaking with the locals. His insurance is now void as we are not living in the country we had two weeks "travel" one we have been here two and a half but due to my bf starting a new job and working hours being so short we haven't managed to get a lot sorted.
Thanks for you replies it's great to know I can ask here and not get slated for it. I asked some other people and they basically told me I was doing wrong by my boy and it was my fault. But we have had two vets say the same but with no tests run we can't be sure. Hope this picture uploads
