| Well we are leaving in a little over an hour to take Diz in for his neuter. I'm nervous, but hoping I can pick him up after work today so he doesn't have to stay overnight. Send good vibes his way! |

Then when i picked him up, he was like embrassed or mad at me lol, like he wouldnt look at me but wanted me to keep petting him lol! Hopefully they can find the missing one with ease! Make sure you keep us posted!!!! |

| Thanks guys! He was so funny in the lobby. It was a low cost spay/neuter place so there were a TON of people there. He was hilarious, he howled hello to everyone and then got really bored and laid on the floor and looked at everything upside down for a while. I gotta admit, that boy knows how to work a crowd! |

| Good luck Diz! I hated waiting in a low cost spay/neuter with my cats when I had them fixed. It takes forever! I'm glad you and the rest of the clinic had some adorable husky entertainment.
I wish I could take Anya to a low cost clinic, but they can't do the ovary sparing spay. Currently only 1 vet in Illinois does it! |

| We made it home okay and the little buddy is resting. He is so sad and pathetic and still pretty out of it. |

| Glad everything went o.k., I really never thought it wouldn't but I know how it is when it's "your baby".
BTW, NPR was playing Jazz on a station out of Des Moines Monday night Tuesday morning, got to listen for a few hours before it faded. |

| So here's the rest of the story for yesterday. I was too busy takin care of my little bud to write it all out. The vet called yesterday around 4:30 to let me know he was done, but would have to stay overnight. I was pretty bummed and at the suggestion of mbarnard, I asked if someone would be there overnight. It turns out, there wouldn't be. So, I walked over and said I wanted to take him home that night if possible. They told I would just have to sit around for a couple hours to wait for him to come out of the anesthesia. I said fine. I think they were surprised I wanted to stay because they had him ready and out the door by about 5:30. He was definitely still groggy and was whining a ton. We got home, unloaded and parked by about 6:30. He slept and whined off and on until about 9 when I fed him and let him get a big drink of water. I took him downstairs at about 10 to go to the bathroom and we went to bed around 10:30. He wore his comfy cone because he definitely wanted to lick. He whined off and on and woke up at 3 am good as new, hungry, thirsty and ready to play. So I gave him water and he drank a lot and I gave him the other half of his dinner (ground veal if you're curious). We went outside for a quick pee and went back to bed. I slept on an air mattress next to his bed so he could wake me up if needed, and I'm glad I did. He woke up a couple other times and needed water. This morning he woke me up at about 7 with some kisses, ready to go. I took him out, fed him breakfast and now he's looking for trouble. I got him a new bully stick, a new toy, and filled a marrow bone with sweet potato. He's much happier without the cone on, so I leave it off unless I can't watch him. He's bored and wants to go for a walk but I'm limiting that of course. I'm exhausted but relieved I brought him home last night. I'll get some pix of his incisions if I can today. thanks for all the support when I was freaking out yesterday ha ha. I figured it was only fair to give you an update. |

| I'm glad that you were able to take him home last night, that way he got the care that he needed! Plus after that kind of trauma him being stuck in an unfamiliar place would not have been the best. They probably gave him to you at 5:30 to get the crazy lady out of the waiting room . I always have thought that the anesthesia is the worst part, once that wares of them seem to be totally fine. I'm glad the rescue remedy is working, I just got some for Siku and just haven't tried it yet. I hope Dizzy doesn't get to chunky on bed rest. I swear Nikolai gained like 4 lbs, during that time of me just giving him food to stay still! |

| Sounds very good! A comfy cone really doesn't offer as many opportunities to laugh as the plastic ones do but to each there own. |

| Ha ha. Very true hughie. He was so pathetic last night. I've never seen anything like it. He was so bummed out. Erica, I think they gave him to me because the office was supposed to close at 5 and they all wanted to get off work. They didn't put up much of a fight. I guess they could see that stubborn look in my eye. Ha ha. I'm sure he'll gain weight being laid up. He knows his food comes out of the fridge and when he woke me up at 3 am he went out to the kitchen and stood in front of it staring at it. Lol. I'm trying not to feed more than usual, I'm just splitting it up and giving it to him more often, and since he's on raw I'm trying to give a little bit of lower fat meats. Except today, he's gonna get London broil. |

| That's what Gus was like after his neuter too! At first, we thought he was in pain, so we gave him a painkiller (vet prescribed of course). But by the next morning, it was like nothing happened! Trying to get him to stop jumping was a challenge haha. We didn't need pain mess after that! I finally got my hands on some rescue remedy too to help with Gus's separation anxiety! Haven't tried it yet though. He hasn't needed it Hope he heals quickly, and so happy you took him home |

| Thank you! Rescue remedy is great. I tried Benadryl and valerian before and both hyped him up, but rescue remedy calms him down without making him seemed drugged. |
