I've really been thinking about getting one for a while now, but am kind of going back and forth. With my Skorpion skates coming today I'm kind of thinking it would be really fun to have the gopro again. Anyway, does anyone here have one? What do you think? How often do you use it? And is it worth it?

I don't have one, but I really want one. Lol. The cheapest one is $200 which to me isn't bad for the camera. So yeah useless comment. But I'll keep an eye to see if anyone else shares their experiences.

We have one that my boyfriends Dad gave him and honestly we have yet to really use it and we bike, walk, snowshoe, ski, and hike all the time. We thought it was something that we would take with us, but we just don't use it. Plus you can only have so many videos of the dogs butts and stuff while doing those activities before its just pointless. I think if maybe we had editing software or something we might use it more, but who knows.

If you are interested in one, if I can convince the boyfriend to sell it, I'll let you know. Its pretty much brand new and since we didn't buy it, I'll give you a great deal  if you actually want one.

Ha ha... Well yeah. Let me know. That's kind of what I was thinking in terms of Dizzy's butt. But I'm just curious how the skating will look once I get more steady on my feet.   

Aaron has a Contour and uses it constantly. They went out of business, but his brother has a GoPro and loves it.

I have 2 Contour Cameras, and they are back in business! I love the Contours, much more streamline than the GoPro. I've pretty much put them through every situation imaginable without so much as a hiccup I use one on a helmet mount to shoot my video and one on my handle bar (sled or cart) to shoot still frames.

I have a GoPro and we have fun with it.

The contour is a really sleek design, but i'd have to buy the waterproof case, which makes it more expensive than the gopro. Still deciding though, I really like both!

old thread, but I have a gopro and use it constantly for hockey. I also use it for canoe trips, and when I had my motorcycle I used it when I went riding.

I also use it during bad weather as a dash camera, and it saved my butt when someone lost control and hit me.

At one point they were claiming they weren't at fault because of where the damage was to my car (front end), meaning I "must" have hit them. The video showed what happened though, and their insurance paid up.

I ended up getting the gopro hero 3 black + supersizedultramega whatever it is, because of the low light capabilities. The greensboro ice rink has terrible lighting.

I have editing software (there are free options out there), and use it to remove all the dead airtime.
