Saturday Morning, I was on my way home from work and noticed what appeared to be a younger husky running down the side of the roady not far from the house.
I stopped and she hopped in the truck.  Long story, short, we located her owner and she asked if we would be interested in keeping her.  We did.  I've been thinking that a female would be a good fit with Storm.

She's just over 2, weighs about 35 pounds and is a bit undermuscled, probably from lack of exercise, which may help explain her habit of getting out.  She and Storm seem to be getting along pretty well.

She's Husky mixed with something, but I'm not really sure what.

Awww. She is very pretty and lucky that she found you.

Has anyone suggested husky collie mix? It is a little hard to tell with one picture.

Wow, she's beautiful, and so lucky to have you! Looks like she has a good temperament, too, lying relaxed on the couch with her ears back. Does she have a name, or do you have one in mind for her?

Her name was/is Nakita. Starting to work on some basic obedience. She seems easier than her new brother Storm in that regard, but Storm is all husky. He's been with us over a year and is still rotten.  pirat

Collie is a possibility as a mix. She has a longer, narrower snout like one.

I think the previous owner just had too many other interests. They put some serious effort into containment, but maybe not enough into play and exercise. I know they asked one of my neighbors if they were interested when they found her a while back, but their Queensland wouldn't have her.

This is her at the vet yesterday. She crosses her forelegs like our other.

The previous owner was probably not wanting to take responsibility for her since she offered that you take her. I mean she was running around on the streets. Well I'm glad she found a better loving family for her. She sure is a beauty.  Smile

Maybe she had decided it was time to go find herself a new nice family! It sounds like a husky to take that into there own paws.

I am glad to hear she is fitting in so well with your boy. Congrats on the new family member.
