Hello everyone, I'm an extreme newbie, this is the first forum ever, as well as my first Husky. I am a mother of 2 daughters and a wife,I live in Ct and I am also a new mom to a Siberian Husky. I am looking forward to meeting new friends and any and all information that you think I should know as this is my first full size dog and my fist Husky, I need and appreciate all of the help you may offer. We will be picking her up this Friday so, I am a very New and excited mom to be. We are traveling from Ct to Va to pick her up. I am very nervous about the long drive but, again....any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to making many long lasting friendships. Thank you.

Well welcome to the forum. Husky ownership is an adventure into the absurd, but always fun. Just out the sticky's and most of your new owner questions should be answered. Always a little slow on the weekend but things pick up during the week, enjoy!

Hi and welcome to the forums, more Connecticut members are needed. (It's snowing really bad here, isn't it?) Congratulations on the new dog and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! The people on here are really helpful and would be glad to answer any of your questions.

Aidan, I have relative in Connecticut, if that counts? Besides, you guys aren't too far from MD. Miley, we just went through the grabbag of emotions associated with getting a pup, especially because we were able to visit our pup almost every weekend. We were excited, nervous, questioning our ability to be the caretakers of a dependent life (we don't have kids yet), impatient, happy, and gushing with love. Ah, to be new puppy parents.

I guess that half-counts...? MD is pretty close, but it seems like going to the moon and back without a car. xD

Eesh, the lack of a car could make that trip seem notably longer. In undergrad, the nearest grocery store was ~4.8 miles away...Without a car and with the shadiest people riding the public transportation, that seemed so far away!
