| Poor baby. I agree with what everyone else has said. I would contact Animal Control and file a report. He admitted to his dogs fighting and offered pain meds. It's is obviously not the first time and it will not be the last time unless the law is involved in this guy's business.
I do hope that Journey heals well and fast. <3 _________________ |

| I'll be contacting AC tomorrow. The owner of the Bull Terriers is meeting me at the vet to pay the medical expenses and we are going to have a chat about a few things. I am going to politely ask him that he leash his dogs from now on since I have no other route to walk to the dog park and let him know that I will be making a report with animal control at the advice of a legal attorney. I figure if I explain it like that he will understand I am not doing it to hurt him or his dog but rather for protection and legality. |

| Journey is home. The guy met me at the vet this morning and paid for the bill. I briefly spoke with him about the fact that I have to walk past his home to get to the dog park and he should keep his dogs leashed. He said he was certainly going to be more careful from now on. I tried calling AC to make a report but received voicemail. I left a message so hopefully they call back soon so I can get the report on file now that I have all of the documentation from the vet and his paying for the bill.
Shaqua does not know what to think about her sister's cone. It is a bit frustrating to Journey because she wants to play but can't. I think she is a little depressed about the whole ordeal. |

| I'm glad for you that the guy was honest and paid the bill. I read this thread a couple of days ago and was a little worried that when he saw what it would cost that he would back out of it and it would then make a situation worse for you.
Hopefully Journey heals quickly, and everything is okay in the end. I hope this doesn't change how she acts around other dogs now as that was a terrible experience for her.
Lets pray that the guy has learned his lesson and that no one else or another dog gets attacked by him not being responsible. |

| You can see the swelling on the left side of her face (the right of this photo) is still present. Easier to see the swelling in this photo. A few stitches on the outside, there are more on the inside. Poor girl hates this cone but she has to keep it on for another week. Unfortunately the swelling means that we can't have her spay on Wed as we had scheduled and we have to move to next week. |

| When Diz got neutered Megan (Cato, Delilah, and Teddy) suggested a comfy cone. I think it was a lot more comfortable for Diz, although he too was quite depressed to be wearing a cone. I hope Journey heals up fast! Good luck with animal control. |

| Poor Journey! I know they hate the cone, but it's for their own good.
I'm glad the owner manned up and paid the bill. The proof of his intent will come when you walk by his house and his dogs are contained. |

| Ugh, even with the cone she has managed to loosen her stitches. Such a difficult area to have to stitch up..... O.o Guess I'm calling the vet again tomorrow morning to see what we can do.... |
