I got Kennedy from a rural shelter in Mississippi, and here are some pictures from her stay there.





This last picture was taken after I had agreed to adopt her, I had no idea what she looked like. She entered the shelter as a stray at about 3 months of age and left sometime after her first birthday.

Okay why can't I get the pictures to work?
I downloaded them as jpg to my computer and first just dragged the link over. Then when that didn't work I clicked the "image" button and dragged the link in there. But it's still not working

Post them with the URL inside of [*img]URL[*/img] except without the astricks.

You're very welcome! i was confused too, i thought you had to take the link from the pictures folder on your computer( LOL )

Kennedy was brought to me from Mississippi all the way to Ohio by Rescue Road Trips. They have a facebook page and a website that everyone should check out. It's an amazing cause and Greg is one amazing person. This is the last picture taken before she was mine, along with his post.


As the last of the dogs left with their families, I hopped in the trailer to tidy up before heading home. Only one sweet little girl left. Jessica. I could hear Her stiring in her crate. I grabbed some biscuits and walked over to see how she was doing and to say hi. Her eyes were big. I could see sadness and fear in them. I asked her what was wrong. She said to me in the smallest voice, “Were there not enough families for all of us, or did mine just not want me?” Then she laid her head down between her legs. At that moment if a dog could have shed a tear, I know she would have been crying. Because she couldn’t cry, I cried for her. I immediately opened the crate pulled her out and held her tight against my chest. I told her she has a new mommy waiting for her in Ohio, that her mommy loved her very much and that she has been calling me to check on her everyday. I promised her that her Gotcha Day is almost here. This seemed to calm her a little. I could tell she wanted to believe me, but was still a little unsure. Because she was the last one left I told her that she didn’t have to be in the trailer anymore and could ride home in the cab with me. I have made her a little spot in the sleeper and assured her that she would be with her new mom soon. She has settled in now and we are headed for Ohio as fast as we can, so Jessica gets her Gotcha Day and a family to call her own.
