Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi, my name is Felisha. My husband and I adopted our husky on June 23, 2013. We are Rayzor's third set of owners; the first left him at the vet after finding out he had worms at 2 months old. One of the vet assistants and her husband took him home next, then could not keep him because of their work schedules. By then the worms were gone, and they were just treating the spots they left on his skin. He still had the spots when we got him, and we were given everything she had to treat them. After a few months the spots went away, and the fur grew back in.

Now Rayzor is 9 months old. He is not a real vocal pup, but he isn't quiet either. He does love to run, jump, and destroy everything he can get a hold of. But he knows when he is in trouble, so we only have to call his name and he will go lay in his crate. He is somewhat decent at learning new tricks, the only ones we really have problems with are stay and catch. He loves other animals; he has his Aunt Sasha (my mother-in-law's feist/chihuahua) who lives with us, and we had a kitten that we lost due to a brain injury. Even though she only lived with us a few days, we could tell that losing her upset Rayzor; he just moped around the house for a while, and kept looking for her in her bed.

We have had a great time with our pup, and are going to continue to do so. He is our first husky and our first kid. I am glad to be a part of this forum, so that we can get help from people with husky experience if we need it.

Hey welcome aboard.

Rayzor is very intense looking! I love his mask.

You've definitely come to the right place for information and help, as well as community.

Words of wisdom for now: Rayzor is about to nosedive into the teenage phase. When you are ready to sceam and cry and break things, hit the Search button on here and look for the word "teenage" or "teenager." You. Are. Not. Alone.
