| Yeah I am definitely looking for a male. I'm not sure if i'm going to go for them. They are not up to date on shots, haven't been to the vet recently, not neutered or spayed, and are not on any kind of heartworm preventative. I just don't want to put myself in a hole with a dog that could possibly have heartworm and lose them. Plus i'm really opting more towards a younger pup since it will be easier to integrate into the household with my two current dogs and i can train it myself. |

| Omg... those two just break my heart How beautiful! But yeah- I would take the dog to a vet before you commit to him/her if you're interested. They are too adorable _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| I know! they really are gorgeous babies. I hope they find great homes because they probably deserve it. I just don't know if i could financially take a gamble if they were heartworm positive (we have a lot of mosquitoes around my area) |

| That breaks my heart and I'd want to take them both....but I'd be reluctant to take one because they haven't been to the vet lately, nor are they current on shots or spayed/neutered. If the current owner would get them current on shots and get a 'clean bill of health' from the vet, I'd be more open to take one of them and get them spayed/neutered myself....just my 2 cents for what its worth... _________________ |

| I have to say, we have a section of our backyard that looks like this. Not by choice, but 3 huskies DO dig a lot. And there have been times Tommy went through & pressure-washed the pool for ours, and by the next morning, it was rather dingy, too. Not defending the owner, just saying pictures are not always giving a glimpse of the WHOLE picture. As for not being up-to-date and them being outside most of the time, SHAME on that owner! It breaks my heart, because I am sure that there are others who will not even give them a chance because of the hassle they will have trying to train these two, and the chance of disease. Basically, it seems the only one who might take them in would be either 1) someone with a lot of money, time, space & energy who could give them the love they need or 2) someone exactly like their present owner, who thinks there is nothing wrong with not taking proper medical care or nothing wrong with leaving them to their own devices more often than not. And, my personal opinion on sex of two dogs is that it isn't always their sex, but personalities that need to be taken into consideration. Our two girls get along great, and it was Nanuk & Mika who had the problem at first, not Isis & Mika. And I have seen Nanuk makes friends with a dog through the fence of a rescue, like they were raised together! But, he is a sweetie, and has no real interest in being Alpha. But, this is my personal experience and would just like you to consider that two dogs will or will not hit it off, regardless of their sex. Good luck! |

| i am on the same page claudia. I say that i'd prefer a male because nikki always seems to get along better with males. But if i even introduce a new adult dog into my home my dogs would absolutely have to meet them first to make sure it is the right match. Id never take one in uknowningly i just say i'd like to have a male because i enjoy male dogs thats all i had growing up until i got nikki....not to say i dont love her! but i dunno...if i got a puppy i'd probably firstly go for a medium energy male first or female second... if i could find one with medium energy. No guarantees though, i know! haha. I'm going to look at some 8 week old pups on sunday actually. We'll see how that goes. I believe it was an accidental breeding and they are just trying to find great homes for them (they are seeking $50 rehoming fee strictly to cover cost of vet bills. |

| That is unfortunate. Both of those dogs sound like they need a very patient and attentive owner. I can't imagine the behaviors developed in that situation.
Are you thinking that you're not taking either? |

| No i'm going to wait until i find a suitable situation that i feel comfortable adopting from. Don't want to jump the gun and end up heartbroken or frustrated |
