Today I was asked to foster a 2 year old male Samoyed... I have always liked Samoyeds and Icon had a Sammy friend in class. So I was thinking it may be a good experience. Just waiting to hear back on some extra details that have to do with cats... So hopefully everything will turn out ok!

Just found out he will be here Thursday! Getting excited! Trying to figure out where his crate is going to go... Also his name is smiley and I don't like the idea of calling a dog smiley.. What should I call him??? Also just found out he is up to date on all shots and has been on heartworm preventative his whole life!

Aww, he's adorable! My hubby would be jealous, he wanted a Samoyed until he found out how much they shed. I bet he would love to have one around temporarily though...albeit not during the shedding season. _________________

Lol... Shoot... I hope he already shed... I'm just hoping I can find his forever home quick... I love fostering, this will be my... 4th foster dog first non-husky:) I am excited for Icon to have a buddy but when my puppy comes around I want to be able to focus on her and my Icon, I will probably take a break from fostering after him... But who knows after Ecko I never wanted to foster again and now look at me... Ugh... Such a sucker!

Lol, that's what I said but Steven and I agreed that since I call all Samoyeds "sammies" it would be weird... But who knows... It'll probably stick;)

He's adorable! And you're a good person for being a foster parent! I think Sam or Sammy is a perfect name! I hope to be a foster parent someday...We just adopted Ginger barely 4 months ago, so we'll wait a few more months. _________________

He looks like a giant Timber, my mom's american eskimo. Fostering can be so much fun. I don't foster dogs, but I foster kittens! Love being able to play with little kittens whenever I want. It's just sometimes hard to see them go. Just make sure you don't end up like my mom. She does rescue and has ended up with a few too many problem dogs who can't find homes. Now they live with her. Wish she would keep the sane ones instead!

I have a friend like that she has 13 dogs in her home and only 2 are ones that she wants to keep. I feel bad for her, the whole reason I am fostering smiley is bc she was asked to and has no more room and she knows I like crazy fuzzy dogs and have experience fostering and training. She actually has 4 dogs she is looking for homes for that are fostered in different homes. She's got a lot of problem dogs and she MAKES SURE they go to their forever homes.
