Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | So it's been getting warmer here in my house. And Okami tends to start heavy breathing with his tongue out. I give him enough water. What do you all do to keep your husky cool? Feed him lots of ice? A cool mat?

| Something that I personally like to do is put tons of ice in his water bowl during the day. |

| I like to make what I call dog "ice cream" I mix low fat yogurt and pumpkin and freeze it. Also we use frozen kongs a lot. Also when it gets really bad this summer I plan to put a fan next to his crate. And if I was worried I might get a towel damp and freeze it for a little bit and then let him lay on it.

| Obviously not inside, but we have a baby pool in the backyard for my dogs- they LOVE it. When they're inside and its hot out we keep the fans on and they usually just lay on the tile I also put an air conditioner in my bedroom window (because we don't have central air) So there's at least one room thats air conditioned if it gets extremely hot out lol |

| we have a box fan we put on the floor for them in the summer, we do not have AC in the house. we also have tile floors so they stay cool in the summer. you can also look into a cooler mat/bed for him if he will not eat it... _________________ |
