2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. hi all, happy new year : )

just wanted to ask out there if anyone else has or knows of a dog that does theatrical crying?

our pup bangs her head all day on tables, chairs, doors... just clumsy i guess and doesnt seem to even notice even when the sound makes us wince..unless she knocks her legs or feet.

just now she has bang her front right knee or one of her claws on a door frame and she was screaming full on, volume very high, for about 2 minutes..at least!

i was checking her leg over while she was crying, thinking that she had caused herself some serious injury.. and she continued to cry but lowered the volume a little.
as soon as i looked away she turned it up again! we burst out laughing as she was clearly being dramatic for the sake of it.
she has dont this a couple of times before but never for so long and never so loud.

just wondered if this is husky characteristic or if we have an exceptionally dramatic pup?

Our puppy is EXTREMELY dramatic. She's fallen off the couch once or twice - very short fall, so no chance of actually getting hurt - and she's gone into a full-on show, telling us all about how terrible of an ordeal it was for her. Or she'll get all riled up while playing with the other dogs, and as soon as they give her "ok ENOUGH" response, she'll go full-on drama and tell us all about it. It's hilarious.

Loki is the same. You can bump him and he will scream at the top of his lungs. Until a month ago, his nose constantly had marks from cuts or scrapes as he would get it hurt every few weeks. His clumsiness has gotten better as he gets older.
