| Ok so koda started Obedience classes again today. I bought him a easy walk harness at the training place. he doest pull often, unless he sees people and gets excited so i figured this would help. But one one the main things he does is bite his leash on walks, he doesnt do it often, but when he gets going with it he wont stop. so the trainer suggested a chain leash, cause he wont like to bite that. I want to find a 6ft chain leash like the ruffwear flat out collar, i love the clip, and i love the handle can unsnap and snap back together. anyone seen a chain leash like that? |

| I can't help you on the chain leash, but could you just spray some of that bitter yuck on the leash you have to get him to stop?

| I just googled chain dog leash and came up with a bunch of different sites with them probably not with the features your wanting but just a plain leash. I would be leery of using it if he is a leash biter I'd be scared of him chipping a tooth. I would try the bitter apple stuff like said above or something else he doesn't like smeared onto the leash around where he bites, maybe use a temporary leash for this so its not on your usual leash. Hot sauce maybe if Koda wouldn't like that? the easy walk also puts the leash in a better placement for chewers, or at least we noticed this when I tried borrowing mine to a friend across the street for her pup, I would maybe look into a different type of harness or look at pinch collars. I know many people do not like them and personally I don't really either but the pinch collar has worked wonders on my two. Maybe more work on a drop it, leave it, type command. I also am trying to work in a calm command, i think there was a post on here about calming recently, it seems to be working a little and they contain themselves a bit not much but we are just starting this because of a new addition to the human side of the family and the pups have been very bad with jumping on older people lately. |

| You can wrap a choke chain around your regular leash. Clip the loop to the bottom and train the chain up the leash as far as it will go. You can zip tie it in 1 or 2 places to keep it in place. That's the best solution ive found. Works great and you don't have to get a whole new leash lol _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | So, I'm thinking about getting the Rok straps leash, and here is a thread about it. I've been reading amazon reviews about it and someone said it was great for their gsd puppy that liked to chew on his leash. It might work for Koda. |

| You could always just make your own chain leash; If you buy about 7 feet of chain links from Tractor Supply or something and add in a couple of carabina clips you have a pretty solid leash right there. Then just slap something on for padding. xD |

| Stark LOVED to bite on his leash - we went through a couple before I finally caved in and bought the bitter apple spray. Now I have a lovely assortment of leashes (because I have a spending problem ) with no bite marks whatsoever! Hope this helps! |
