My name is Eva and I live in Southern California, with my husband, son and my niece.  We just got two little husky puppies and I am looking to reach out to other husky lovers to get support as we sure can use it right now.

We didn't get our puppies from a breeder, but found them on Craigslist.  They were not living under the best conditions, so we considered them being rescued, even though we paid for them.  Sadly our first few days despite as much as we wanted to be good parents to our puppies, one of them fell off the bed as she played there with the blanket, which she decided to let go of and fell on the hardwood floor and she broke her leg, so now she has a splint on her leg to complicate her puppyhood and of course me being a newbie to own a puppy having a little bit of a freak out time with her.  The vet has been great to work with and yet I have a ton of questions still, and that is the reason I searched for an active forum of husky lovers as I hoped I could get a little help in making all our lives happy.  I would love to raise happy puppies, so I want to make sure we are handling them the right way.

I was wondering if anyone here has raised two husky puppies the same time?  My little ones are so rough with each other and I assume that is normal, and I don't know if I am suppose to let them be rough with each other or not.  Anyway, that was just one quick question, but sure would love to know if anyone has raised two or more puppies the same time and how they handled that.  Our little ones are almost 8 weeks old.  The people we bought them from couldn't even tell us when they were born, but the vet said they are now close to be eight weeks old.  They are the most adorable little beings and sure know how to keep us busy...LOL

Huskies are very, very rough and they are mouthy, both verbally and physically. They interact with the world with their mouths.

Watching a group of them play together makes most people cringe and walk away.

It's perfectly normal for them and it is critical that they have an outlet for it. They will include you and your family in it as well. It is one of the most difficult life lessons you have to teach them: appropriate uses of teeth-on-human skin

Sorry to hear about the broken leg. That definitely thickens the plot. They are tough and resiliant though.

My puppy sprained his tail at 3 months because his best friend, a Husky, threw him off a ledge, essentially. Didn't phase him one bit.

Thank you seattlesibe for the feedback. Sorry your puppy sprained his tail and glad to hear he healed with ease. We keep visualizing her as healed and for now we have to keep taking her back every Monday to take care of the splint, and at four weeks after the break, which now is in 3 weeks he will physically feel her leg to see how the bone feels, whether it's healed or not. We really want that. She is so darn active and we crate them a lot for now, so she gets about 3 hours of quiet time after playing about an hour to hour and a half.

And yes, they do get to play together a lot....rough housing, growling at each other, they do it all....LOL
