2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. If anyone has a sewing machine and would like to make some simple booties for there dog here is a brief instruction. (This is compiled from "Skijor with your dog" and "Mush!" from the Sierra Nevada dog drivers with out permission)
1) First, material that is 10 inches long and 4 inches wide. This can be Polar tech, canvas, pillow ticking ect, I think old blue jean could even work.

2) Next is Velcro, one inch by three and a half inches of the fuzzy side and one inch by four inches of the hooky side.

3) Sew the fuzzy Velcro on all four sides to one of the four inch ends of the rectangle.

4) Now sew the hook end of the Velcro adjacent to fuzzy part with the hooks facing down.
So it should now be a piece of material 4x10 with with the Velcro sewn to one end.

5) turn the whole thing over with the Velcro part being the top. now fold the bottom to the top to make
a little bag with a Velcro top closure, sew the sides shut and the first one is done! The instructions
also stated that the boot are to be worn with the seams on the outside.

"Skijor with your dog" is a great book! I am going to be trying to learn this winter we will see how it goes. Right now I just use mushers secret on my dogs feet and it seams to work really well. But we have only used it for biking in the summer.
