| We are starting clicker training with Lilu and have been pairing the click with the blue buffalo training treats. They're like the zukes but healthier also only 3kcal per treat. I spilt each treat into 2 or 3.
So I could potentially give her 50 of these things a day. I can't find anywhere how many I'm aloud to give her any suggestions? |

| 50 is way too much. I clicker trained Okami as well
A maximum of 5-7/10ish treats in one 15 minute-20 minute training session 2-3 times a day.
If you stuff your dog too full of treats you will take the will to eat real food away and then you will also begin to see spoiled brat issues and that is never good, or the worst you will see is runny poop/ stomach issues.

| Also the other reason why you do such a little amount in 15-20 minute sessions is so then your pup can pick up on what you are trying to tell them. If you do it for too long they will get frustrated and not listen to you. When you do it for 15-20 minutes and then make a couple sessions a day, your dog will have time to process what they learn in between each session. |

| Wow that seems so little. I'm watching these training videos and they give like 5-7 in about 2-3min. Everytime the dog listen they give a treat. |

| I admit I over treated at first with clicker training, but once your dog gets the idea of what "click" means you really want to slow down. |

| I think once your pup picks up on what the trick is, you stop treating every single time you ask them to do it. For Karli, we go through all the tricks she already knows first, then I treat. Then we work on a new trick. Once she seems to have it, I go through the old tricks again and add the new one and treat after the new one. Eventually, you want to train the pup to do the trick with the click, not because of the treat. |

| Yes, I mass tricks per one treat too. It is something you work up to though. |

| ive bought about one bag of treats since i got rikku over a month ago and have only went through half my bag of training treats. i break every treat into 2-3 pieces and mind you they are already tiny. even at that i dont treat her for every trick she does just the first few times then everyother, then every couple, until she does them to me just asking her with no treats at all. at 10 weeks we could do sit, shake, other paw, kisses, lay, sneak (crawl, only a couple of steps but working on the distance) , roll over, roll other way, with out treats just my hand... |

| You could use her food for training as well if she likes it. Make her earn those kibbles. |

| Yea kibbles don't really work for her since she just gets bored and gives me this face like "where is my treat".
I also mass tricks per treat, but I'm working on walking nicely and off leash so thats taking a lot of treats per session.
At 12 weeks she can.. sit, stay, down, wait (put it on her hand and she wont eat till i say OK), bang bang, rollover, paw, other paw, police hands on the wall. We're doing the army crawl now, as well as left/right. |

| Honestly, unless she has excessive diarrhea or is overweight I wouldn't worry about it. I give Dizzy tons of treats when we are working on stuff. I honestly couldn't even tell you an amount. |
