| So my husband and I have been mulling this over ever since we got Layla and I think we may have found an AKC name that we can agree on! I wanted to run it by the forum first, though, to get your thoughts.
We think Kennedy's Night Angel is a good AKC name. I looked it up and Layla's name means "night" or "night beauty." I wanted Kennedy's Night Beauty but Darren didn't like it. He suggested Kennedy's Night Angel and I thought it was a good compromise.
We had also played around with incorporating her kennel name, Capella, into her AKC name but couldn't really come up with anything that felt right. I looked that name up too and it means "goat," which seemed kind of silly to me for an AKC name.
I haven't filled in the registration papers yet ... what do you guys think? Any other fun suggestions?
EDIT: Realized I wrote "ACK" instead of "AKC" this entire post. Silly me!

If you like it as her AKC name then go for it! I on the other hand am still mulling over Caoimhe's name.

If she is from a Reg'd kennel her originating kennel name should precede the registered name- other than that it is an amazing name

Yep, her originating kennel is Kennedy Sleddogs. And, geez, I just realized I wrote "ACK" the entire time instead of "AKC." Ack! I think we'll be going with Kennedy's Night Angel. Cortnie, I can't wait to see what you come up with for Caoimhe. Maybe something Gaelic or Irish?

Yes, I was thinking that since their litter was navigational stars and Polaris is the North Star, something like: Kennedy's Ever Constant Réalta. Réalta is star in Irish. Idk?

Maybe something with "True North" and something Irish? "Realta" is a cool word, though. I'm really into old Celtic and Irish stuff, King Arthur, etc. Those old languages are really beautiful.
