| Hi,
5 days ago we rescued a 6 month old lab mix puppy (Leia) from the pound. Before we got her, we introduced our one year old husky (Mika) to her and they seemed to be fast friends. Now we have the puppy at home and our husky won't leave Leia alone. Leia will play with her until she get tired, but Mika never stops. She keeps biting Leia's ears until she yelps.
Will this stop after she gets used to having the puppy around? We can get her to stop for a couple minutes and then she just goes right back to it. |

| Asia did/does this to Kody. We got Asia at about 6 months from the shelter and she immediately became best friends with our male. They would play, play, and play, but once Kody got tired Asia didn't understand to stop. She would bite him pretty hard sometimes and he would yelp, but never bit her back. I started separating Asia (still do) when she gets too crazy with him. It's all fun...she LOVES LOVES LOVES her brother, but she's a bit rough. I say, just step in. Put Mika on timeout for a few minutes and let her back with Leia. Mika is probably just excited to have a new buddy |

| Does Mika stop when she yelps? If yes, I think that is a good sign. If she does not, then you need to redirect Mika to play with you. In time, she should learn how to play nicely. |

| Juneau would do this with my foster, maddie. I eventually got her to learn the command, "Leave her alone" and she would walk away. Try separating them for a while if your husky gets too pesky. Juneau was just excited to have a buddy, lol. |

| Jasper does this to my friend's golden puppy, he just seems to have way more energy than the pup and doesn't understand why the puppy doesn't want to play as long as he does. When he gets too wild we take him to another room for a quiet time out until he calms down. |

| HAHAHA here it is the opposite, the puppy, Loki won't leave his brother Balon, or lab sister Ruby alone for 5 minutes lol. Ruby dives under my dining room table to get away from him lol. Though I shouldn't laugh because he is quite the pest and quite rough! Balon lets him know when he's had enough but Ruby is so submissive she doesn't. So I will sternly tell him leave her alone, and he is learning that means leave her alone! If he doesn't I leash him to me for a while to give him time to calm down.

| Mine is the opposite...Karli will stop but Evee, the lab puppy goes back for more. I have to hold Evee against me and tell Karli to lay down. That lasts til Evee escapes and jumps on Karli again. Separating them works the best, lets everyone get a calm down time. |

| Thanks everyone for the responses! It has been hard especially because Leia got fixed before we could bring her home, so they really can't play much at all. Mika is calming down a little now that she is more used to her though! |
