Playing in the snow. He barked at me because he wanted to play, but I had to shovel first. Love the puppy antics.

There is nothing cuter in the world than a husky puppy hopping around in the snow

Here's a video of the command we were taught for recall. I left Siku on a long lead in a field behind our shop. He usually comes on the first call, but didn't see me behind the snow bank. He went right back to mouse hunting lol. He just weighed in at 60 pounds, so he's going to be a big boy.

Lately on walks, Siku has taken to jumping in and on bushes...
In them and on them.

Ha ha. I totally disagree. My female recovered so quickly, but Dizzy was SO pathetic. I have never heard a dog whine like he did! It broke my heart! He was fine though. Diz is way more of a drama queen than my girl was.

Thank you for the kind words and support! My wife stopped and got him a comfy cone like many of you recommended. This morning he was super excited to go for a short car ride and ran right in to the vet's office. I think this is because he really doesn't have a good understanding of the English language. No clue.

That's pretty funny. Dizzy was super excited too, and I felt like such a jerk ha ha.

Siku is doing very well, except for the whole cone thing. The incision is very clean and looks like it will heal quickly. All he wanted to do last night was to go for a walk, even in a stupor. These dogs are driven to be outside and active. His cone was on pretty tight, but he managed to wrestle it off. Second image is a video of him conquering the cone.

We found a small private dog park very close to our house. A couple with a printing company started the park on their businesses property to have play dates for their Greyhounds. It just opened last year. You need to provide proof of vaccination, have had your dog spayed or neutered and pass a personality test.
Siku hasn't played with other dogs since we had the altercation at the other dog park, so I was a little concerned about his social skills. The first two days, we were the only ones there. As luck would have it, a woman stopped by today with a fluffy female husky. What are the odds of that? They played together pretty well. Liking this dog park so far.

Another recall video. He's supposed to sit in front of me, but was coming in hot and had to do a little lap first.

Since the last update in May, Siku has become a very well adjusted Husky. We still take him to work, and day camp when we're busy. This has really helped his socialization, in addition to taking him to the Grafton dog park. He has a lot of friends there now and plays well with dogs of all sizes. Looking back, all I can say is thank God we made it through the teenage phase.

Over the summer we randomly met one of his siblings, Leo at the dog park.

We recently bought a ten acre lot and we plan on building a new house in the next year or two. I've been following the electric fence thread with great interest and plan on installing one on the property.

Haha thanks. Finn is a little nut. Siku is teaching him some good wrestling moves. Finn's days at the dog park are mostly spent on his back but he's learning.

That's actually a good way to describe him, and he's a joy to have around. I'm so glad I can say that now lol.

He's a very handsome dog. He looks very excited to see Santa! Looks like he grew into those ears! I went and met Siku's parents back when I was visiting while looking for a puppy.
