| He is a dilute red with a dirty face. The liver points (most, "eyeliner" and lip liner) are only in red colored dogs (interestingly, there is a white appearing color with points which makes it a "red" even though to the eye white a white black nose, white being a pattern a color... Confused yet :p )
Also appears to be a wooly (ear tufting, foof around the face .. |

and @amymemeThank you! Yeah I was confused too because he has those random black spots. His dad is white and black but he has a good amount of red mixed into his fur. And his mom is agouti so maybe that’s where the black came. His skin is also weird, it’s black on his back but underneath it’s pink |

| Very cool color! Our puppies went WAY light about that age and then seemed to settle back into what they looked like as puppies. When they lightened up... Untitled by Mike H, on Flickr Recent picture: Untitled by Mike H, on Flickr |

His skin is also weird, it’s black on his back but underneath it’s pink If those random spots are truly black and not a deep mahogany brown, then take a look at his individual hair shafts (the guard hairs) and see if you see any banding. If there are 3 bands of color on ONE hair shaft, you may have an agouti revealing itself. What color is his undercoat? |

His undercoat is white I think, as that’s the color of his fur that comes out when I brush it. But I’m not sure if that’s what an undercoat is lol, I included another of me spreading his fur apart. https://i.servimg.com/u/f71/20/07/34/77/cf907a10.jpg |

Is this taken at the base of the tail by any chance? There's an area there that is sort of an archaic scent gland kind of thing. I can't find any references to this at the moment but I remember a discussion on hear several years ago. Also - when you post a picture, if its from serve image, click on "links" than look under BBCode and copy the link that says image. That will put the actual picture in your post. If you're on an android phone, after you upload the picture, there's a little down arrow which will give you the link, again, the middle one, BBCode and the second line, "Image" |

| @amymeme the gland you are talking about is the precaudal gland. Ridgebacks, and pariah type dogs and wolves/wolfdogs/coydogs are the only breeds that have it. Its about 4 inches from the base of the tail. Squirt and spider both have them my 2 boys do not |

| he is adorable and so fluffy. leo has those dark hairs on his back too . they eventually turn an orange color. he was really dark when he was about 5 months old. he looks a bit lighter due shedding. |
