Too much cheese (or any dairy) can cause digestive issues.

Cheese is fine to use, but I wouldn't give too much. Cheese is higher in fat content and can really pack on the pounds if you're not careful. We obviously don't know how much you give in treats when training so it's hard to say if what you plan to give is too much. Generally I recommend low fat, low calorie treats for training because many people go through a lot of treats during training sessions...at least I do. Now if your dog was extremely thin that would be fine to use a higher fat treat. _________________

I use cheese with Dizzy all the time, and its one of the few treats that doesn't upset his stomach, but all huskies are different. Val is right though, it could cause your pup to pack on the pounds, it did with mine. So I switched to skim milk string cheese, or skim milk mozzarella. Dizzy still loves it and its better for him in terms of his weight. Also, if she LOVES cheese, reserve it for the more challenging training sessions and situations. Mostly for Dizzy, I use his dog food, or a different brand/flavor of dog food and its fine. This avoids tummy issues for the most part, but I also make sure to cut back the amount I'm feeding him so that he's not getting way too much food/treats. Another thing to do it to have several higher value treats (cheese, meat, jerky, etc) so that she doesn't get tired of, or used to a certain thing.
