hi everyone, nice looking through the pics on this site, seemed friendly and not one of the hardcore "i have a untamed wolf dog" sites, so thought we'd sign up. our little 8 week old pup was born to a german shepard malamute cross mother and a pure blue eyed siberian father. havnt come across any crosses on this site yet so would be good to hear from owners who have one. joined regardless because we think the husky will run strong in this one-even though we chose the tamest of the litter.. just trying to post a photo of her a from a week ago-not sure if it'll work but you might notice a free roaming netherland dwarf rabbit lurking behind the pink chair. ..so before any says this is cruel or stupid to dangle a piece of meat in front of a husky, i have to add that they are never left in the room together alone and that the rabbit has many escape options and that the pup only wants to play with the rabbit..albeit a little too vigorously! in the week that we have had her our attempts at brainwashing our nipping shark machine are proving successful and its only during her few moments of madness that she forgets to play gently. we live in hope!

thanks for the welcome-even if we are a little half cut! at the moment she looks a little like a mini german shepard-though not like a german shepard puppy..if you get what i mean? her mother looked very much like a shepard in build and form but her colour was that of a malamute with grey and white. the father is very much your typical white husky with a black back and eye mask with stunning blue eyes...so we have no idea what she will look like as an adult dog. we dont mind but are hoping that she takes on some of the traits of a german shepards mannerisms as they can be very loyal self controlled dogs..the opposite of what we been reading on many husky sites! some of which can be a little off putting : / right this moment our rabbit has climbed into the dog crate to rip up some newspapers and she has just woken bobi who has gone to investigate with a waggy tail and zero intention of causing harm, the last thing we want, especially as we have a 16 month old daughter too...though the pup has decided that our daughters toys are also hers for the mauling! we just focus on the nipping above everything as we couldnt bare if either our baby or rabbit came to any harm. toilet training is 60% good at the moment and this puppy seems pretty together given that she is in a strange house with strange people, strange hairy rabbit living on a farm in the middle of the countryside. we just cant wait to take her out for long walks to tire her out a little. here in the UK your pup has vaccinations at 8 weeks and then 10 weeks and 2 weeks later is good to go out into the big world. bobi says thanks for the compliments : )

Welcome Bobi is a real cutie! I love that her coloring is so strong she will make a stunning dog. I hope all goes well with Bobi and your bunny, I had mini lops when I was younger which my last dog (a goldie) grew up with and they were the best of friends, often snoozing together in the dogs basket
