I'm offering her because my friend found her on the street and her owners simply said they could no longer care for her. Awh she looks like a sweet girl! Thanks for fostering her until she can get a forever home. Just FYI I would probably talk to some rescues and screen homes first, I would be wary of giving her away for free because some people will jump at the offer with no experience whatsoever and she may be homed somewhere that may not be suitable for her (namely, a BYB) as I'm guessing she isn't spayed yet. Good luck finding her a home!

Yes, I definitely caution against "free to good home". Screen potential owners; at the very least, check out their home, do a face to face interview, and get a vet reference.

Good luck, and yes, please don't advertise for free!  Those above rescues can also help you - they may place her in a foster home and help with medications and spays.

Yes, it's always a bad idea to advertise an animal as free. You get way too many bad apples that way. You can always say there is an adoption fee of around $150 and then if the new home sounds good and checks out fine, you can give the dog to them for free anyway. Just the initial price keeps some of the crazies away.
