Quick question: Link eats a full raw diet and we gave him too much bone this week. Other than cutting back on the bone for a bit, what is the quickest and healthiest way to counteract the chalky dry poop? This is a question from a nutritional perspective.

More meat and less bone is the best way I am aware of. The results should be pretty fast since raw digests so quickly.

If his poop is white and chalky, that's him passing the excess through all by himself. Unless it's over an extended period of time it's doesn't really build up.

I don't think the white chalky is really an issue, unless your dog seems like it's difficult to go. Less bone, more meat will fix it and maybe add some water when you feed. I really only get concerned about the meat/bone ratio when mine seems to be constipated. Then I know I'm screwing something up (eye roll)

Thankfully, you don't have to worry when you feed a little extra bone for a week - in fact, I only feed organ about once a week and I just feed raw meaty bones one day, meat the next - mix it up. It won't hurt them
