Are there purebred huskies with brown instead of white coats?
I was just looking through ads and saw this so it made me curious, quickly googled it but didn't find anything..so why not ask the experts :-)

It may just be me but that second pic reminds me of a corgi mix more then a husky. I have no clue about the coloring sorry

The pic is gone, so I can't comment on that particular dog, but here is the breed standard on coat:

All colours and markings, including white, allowed. Variety of markings on head is common, including many striking patterns not found in other breeds.

Yup!
They can come in quite the variety of colors. Tika is Sable (the one looking at the camera) she always looks lighter in photos but her back is quite brown now. She is a purebred pup from a very good line. We always get comments asking what she is because it isn't one of the more common colors.

Bummer, I wish you could have seen the dog. It was pretty much all black in the typical dark areas you would see on a husky then the typical white areas were more like the brown you would find on a rotti.... It was kind of pretty really...needed a good bath and brush though LOL

I can not open the link, my computer freezes when I try. I never knew there were huskies with that coloring ...pretty cool. I like learning new stuff :-)

That's weird. From what the site says, they are extremely rare though, coming form one line in Norway, so the one you saw may have been a mix. You never know though!

Well, lol.. I just saw one of Kristina's dogs one here...Mickey..that's the coloring. Though Mickey is way prettier then the one I saw :-) I have always liked brown dogs though, makes sense I would like it..my last dog was a choc lab :-) lol

The ad was to get rid off the puppies and parents...purebred..flagged and removed. Today the parents are on seperate ads..wolf/husky dad and husky mix mom...same pictures. I have not seen another one for the pups yet.

I am a longtime reader / lurker of this great forum.  I rescued a Black / Tan husky almost two years ago, his name is Bear, he was surrendered because he was too much energy for his owner.  His coloring makes everyone ask what breed he is, but he is a Husky.
