| Either he figured how to get out of his crate this morning or I completely spaced it when I left for work. I am thinking I left him out on accident with full access to all of downstairs. He was left out from 8AM-2PM. I'm not sure what was going on that would cause me to not put him in his crate, but . . . Amazingly, nothing was damaged except I think he climbed under and into the cat tower and got all the cat toys he could find. There were about 10 scattered in the middle of the living room floor when usually they are under the tables, in corners, and behind furniture. His treats bags on the end tables were also completely intact and still sitting on the table. I feel a little like a bad pet owner that I forgot to lock him up. |

| lol a few weeks ago my boyfriend and i were arguing when leaving the house that it completely slipped our minds to put the dogs away. they were fine though when we got home, just hanging out in the living room. |

| We don't even own a crate. Kenzi is out all the time. We just close the doors to the bedroom so she's stuck in the living room and she just sleeps. Occasionally if the cat has been teasing her out the window she might chew on something out of frustration but she's usually pretty chill. I'm just the opposite, I would feel bad crating her all day. She doesn't like small spaces unless it's the car and being able to throw her rabbit and run around the house helps her exercise herself and keep her energy levels down so she isn't completely nuts when we go for our evening bike ride. I'm glad Loki did well being out and didn't get in too much trouble. _________________ |

| Yeah, I don't know how long I'll crate him. It is more him with my other pets. Guess from reading stories, it is better to be safer when dealing with cats and huskies. I also have a senior grumpy lab who doesn't always take well to Loki's puppy antics.
That said, I took my cat to the vet yesterday and 3 vet techs had to hold her down to get blood while she screamed. If you haven't heard a bengal scream - she is probably louder then my 3 dogs combined when they bark/howl. Today when I just picked up my dogs medications, they were all still talking about her and the vet said bengals are the pitbulls of the cat world. I said I left Loki out on accident and they all jokingly asked if my cat Bindi killed him and if he was ok. I had to say she actually lets him lick her all the time and she rubs against him. |

| We let Vixen loose alone in the house and she just curls up by the door and waits for us to come home. Zelda cannot be trusted though. The other day my daughter forgot and left her loose and the two of them were soooo naughty! They had a real party, dumping out the baskets I keep our winter things in. Chewed up mittens and hats and scarves were strewn everywhere. I know Zelda wasn't the only one in on it either! |

| Guess time will tell when Loki is let out when we leave for now it just seems safer to be in crate. Though when I take showers now I will leave him out assuming cats are sleeping. |

| I started letting Juneau have free range of the house when she was 10 months. She had to gradually earn it though. We'd do it in stages. First, 30 minutes. Next, an hr. 3 hrs... so on and so forth. Some days I'll leave toys out, some days I won't. She usually just curls up in a ball and waits for us to come home. We probably started leaving her out when she was 8 months, just to see how she'd do.
I'm glad Loki didn't do anything too bad! lol |

| We left Anna out twice, the first time she ate my highlighters and a couple pens. The second time she tore up my carpet and ruined my blinds. No leaving Anna out for us. Hahah. But she has separation anxiety so I am assuming that is the problem. |

| I trust my dog out by himself(he sleep out of his crate at night in another room(because I snore) without issue) but the cat is afraid of him(and shoes, and birds, and roaches, and his own shadow sometimes........my cat is a wuss) and my current floor plan doesn't allow the cat to have anywhere to roam while the dog is out(unless the dog is in my room/with me and distracted) so I keep storm in his cage while I am at work. |

| I've never left Lycus out before because he's a little monster. He's escaped twice from his crate already and both times he's left a giant mess in the house. You are one lucky duck if your husky doesn't destroy everything when left out lol!! |

| I was leaving Dizzy behind a baby gate in our alcove, but he recently started a project of ripping the rubber off the bottom of the rug, so that was enough of that. Now he has to stay in his crate again. |

| Loki tends to be a good boy as long as dish rags and socks are all picked up, I just don't really trust him. I also learned from my other 2 when they were young and everything seemed to be going well, I would leave them out. Then, something would happen. Like they ate away my basement stair one day, the leg of my dressor a different time, or they would dig through the trash. Loki will be crated until he is 1-2 at least for this reason. |

| We've left Karli out on accident before. She knows the command "go to bed" and heads right into her crate. We were going to get groceries and neither one of us went over and actually physically closed the crate. We had been gone about half an hour when I asked my hubby if he had locked her up and he gave me this blank look. I left him there to finish and went to check on her (five minutes away). She was perfectly fine, sitting in the middle of the living room floor with her eeyore (he jingles when you shake him) chewing on him. We leave her out periodically (my hubby way more than me because I'm paranoid she'll chew something of his and he will get upset lol) and she always does good. I haven't crated her during showers in ages, she just sits at the bottom of the stairs on the tile waiting for me. Its good he didn't get in trouble! |
