| To start, i know there is a few threads on fleas but Im not having a lot of luck with them.
Here is the low down; 3 pets: 2 dogs 1 kitten: 3 year old boston terrier, 4 month old husky, 15wk old kitten
both dogs are on k9 advantix's, cat is on nothing both got their treatment on the 25th of august
Fleas came in hot and heavy late last week. so far he is what we have done; k9 advantix august 25th Diatomaceous Earth, through out entire house. Let it sit for an hour then vacuumed it up washed the dogs the second we vacuumed in a vinegar, dawn dish soap water mix. fleas were falling off left and right. and i mean a lot of them. had to wash rikku twice. put more Diatomaceous Earth around their cages and through out their room. after two baths basically in a row, rikku was still itching and we were still finding fleas. also have been washing everything and vacuuming and empty the vacuum out the moment were done
any adivce? |

| We just had to deal with fleas after having overnight fosters...Call you vet and ask for a Capstar pill for each of the animals, it kills all of the ones on the animals in 30 minutes, I'd then ask your vet if they think it's safe to give them another dose of flea topical |

| Capstar/Comfortis are your best bet. Personally I would Comfortis all the animals (they now have it for cats- not sure of the age range though) and viciously vacuum daily. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Comfortis over capstar. Capstar is only good for a day. Make sure to vacuum under beds that is where most of Loki's hair goes. Also heard putting down salt will dry out any eggs. |

| If you have it over there - Panoramis works like a charm. It's the only thing that kept the fleas off Achilles in summer - comfortis is made by the same people but this one was more recommended by the vet, can't remember why though sorry. My mums pets suffered with the fleas but Achilles was fine. I'd find 1 or 2 dead adults in his coat every once in a while but before he started taking it I had to give him a Capstar every couple days cause the fleas were relentless |
