So I have caught Okami in some pretty odd sleeping positions... as I have a few pictures already posted in here.... but last night.... I almost died. How can she sleep like this? It doesn't look comfortable at all, but she sure thinks it is... So get ready to laugh at the goofy nut job contorted in her crate. What are some of the silliest position your huskies have been in?

She sleeps normally... sometimes... I haven't taken a picture of her "Husky Curl" yet... I never think to do it when she does it. But here is a half a curl?

Yeah I love the husky curl too.. she wouldn't do it until she was almost a year old, so I thought she was never going to do it, but it turns out she starts sleeping like that now and goes through the "Okami Sleeping Stages" ... Stage one is the curl, Stage two is laying on her side with her feet pushed out, and Stage three is the Sunny Sibe Up. Stage 4 the "Contort the body oddly"....Then optional Stage number 5, when she wakes up and has Yoda ears for like 15 minutes. lol

Renee, you have no idea how much more cheeky in real life those two look. A picture can not capture the maniacal awesomeness those to portray when they are together. I mean it can show a little bit. Okami seriously shows a completely different side of her towards Cassidy that she won't show to anyone else. She is instinctively gentle, extra smart playful (like she can keep up with knowing how to play a game Cassidy starts with her) it is weird.

Okami: "Hey Mom. I see you're eating something there, can I have some?"

Me: "Okami you'll get your dinner soon, I know you're hungry but this is my snack."


Okami: "Mom, look into my cute eyes, you always give in to these cute eyes!"

Me: "Do you really want this chip?"

Okami: "Yes!"


Me: "Are you willing to work for it?"

Okami: "Oh my God, Yes!"



Okami: "I hate you, Mom."

Sorry if the leash brings down the quality of the pictures... I don't have a fenced in yard... and it is really hard to take photos, hang on to her, and not let my hands freeze to death.

She was pretty much playing with this leaf the whole time.

Sometimes they can have the most fun with the simplest toys. lol. She looked like she had fun despite your freezing phalanges.

Yeah, the leaves blow around the place, so her "prey drive" activates and off she goes! I put "" for prey drive, because hers is for weird things, but she won't get a prey drive for normal things. I have a weirdo!

I can't find my gloves So yeah 20 degrees weather with no gloves sucks... haha

She is such a character! I can't help but laugh when I see some of her pictures. She is such a pretty girl!

(don't revoke my mancard though, LOL...it was bought for me as a kid by my grandmother and I treasure it, always having my mom pack it away with the Christmas stuff and bringing it out each year...then I'd put it under the tree and its sole purpose was to "carry" on its sled, my Christmas gift for my mom.) Anyways, heres my contribution to the husky toy collection

So, she's about a year older than my girl. I just noticed that your signature has her age. You ever think about getting a play-mate for her someday? We don't get to go to the H2M2 meets nearly as often as we'd like, either because I work Saturdays or because the one's on Sundays are too far away. It's nice that they have each other to play with.

I'd like to get another husky-actually, quite recently I was going to. I found a red 4 year old girl named Sasha someone was giving up on that I was going to rescue. My current living situation turned out that I couldn't get her. I live with my husband's father, he makes the rules...he said no, but I could get another cat he doesn't understand the breed, and when I try to explain things to him, he is just ignorant.
But good news as of yesterday, my husband is likely to get a new job this monday, so our financial situation will soon allow us to finally start saving for our own place. When that happens I trust I will have 2 more huskies. 3 just seems like a magic number to me. I am super excited about all of it.

Congrats to your hubby on the new job, I hope everything works out for you. Three does sound like a great number, that's how many kids my hubby and I've agreed on, but I think we'll stick to two fur babies.
