We've gotten a husky.. had her for almost a year now, and she's 2. She's just starting to bite when you try brush her.. well, she didn't bite me, but she snapped at me. Then when mum's sitting down and she's in season? she starts biting if you move, and humping you. She's only done it on me once.. and won't do it now, but she does it on my mum really bad, then runs off with her hackles up and growls. Mum tries put her in her cage, and she runs off, comes back, bites her with a growl, then runs off again.. but I think that's just her wanting to play because she then grabs her lead and shakes it around. She won't do as she's told either.. you tell her something, and she just sits there until you make her move.. then she'll climb up on the pond, and won't listen when you tell her get down, then she's eating grass, licking the rabbits through their hutch, and lies down by them.. when they had babies, Bella heard them squeaking and almost got to them, she broke the hutch, leaving their mum stressed. :/ why is she being naughty and disobedient all the time?

We always take her for walks, and she just shreds everything in sight.

Is there any reason you have not had her spayed yet? Some of her problem might be hormonal and spaying her will relieve some of her frustration/bitchyness. Her prey drive and stubbornness is a normal trait for a Siberian Husky. You can take her to obedience classes so you and your family can learn how to motivate your pup to listen to you. She is an adult now so it might take a bit of work to train her, which is why I suggest signing her up for an obedience class.

I think it's a financial problem at the moment. We're managing with her, she's well looked after and loved, but some things just might take a little bit longer. We rescued her from a dogs home after she came in with a male malamute.. we wanted him too, but he wasn't a husky like we wanted, but Bella was. My mum thought she was a different husky, can't remember the name.. but the man has said she is Siberian.

I will have to tell my mum about it. We're all new to Husky's and always reading up about them.. Is it also normal for her to be panting a lot?... she only has to go to the green which is like 5 mins away, if that.. and she goes nuts, pulling on the lead.. and she's tired out them. She pants a lot. It's been hot.. so we play with her with the hose, keep fresh water with her all the time, and I give her ice cubes sometimes.. she loves them in the heat.. and then when it's too hot? she'll lie in the shade for a bit, then she'll come in and we stick the air con of for her.
