2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

husky gets crazy in car? Sitting problems? Empty
PostSubject: husky gets crazy in car? Sitting problems?   husky gets crazy in car? Sitting problems? EmptyMon Aug 12, 2013 2:24 am

So far I have near completed this quest to make the perfect husky. So far, the only two things that have been impossible for me are sitting and him being calm in car. I can't get him to sit unless I somehow force him to. Since I can't teach him how to sit, he is very hyperactive in a car. I have another husky who I managed to teach to sit because I had her since she was a puppy and it was easier to teach when she was a puppy. She is very calm in a car. I don't tell her to sit when she is in a car. She is a perfect little lady when she is in a car. Does anyone have any advice on how to get him to be more calm in a car. I have tried to get him to sit, but it doesn't seem like something that is going to be possible. The trick sit is not that importaint to me but I have always wanted to take my dog to parks and etc. and I can't because he makes an absolute mess in the car.

I made Karli sit before I would give her food...it took a couple times of my assisting her, but she picked it up fairly quickly. Do you give him any toys or treats in the car? If I'm going on a long car ride, I usually give her a frozen kong, that keeps her busy for a while. Or you can give him a bone or a bully stick something to occupy him while in the car. Does he know lay down? You could make him do that in the car.
