| I know this product has been mentioned in a few topics, so I thought I'd give my review on it as well...
Ginger is prone to tartar build up, causing gingivitis, which (if not taken care of) can cause other health issues for our furbabies. The past few months Dr. M has been commenting on Ginger's gum line being red which indicated may be time to do a dental - anesthesia to get her teeth cleaned under the gum line, meaning $$$$.
We give Ginger Zukes Z Ridge dental bone, and raw chicken with bone to help 'scrub her back teeth, and we brush the front teeth, and Ginger's teeth showed some improvement.
A few of the members have mentioned PetZLife oral spray and how it worked wonders for their dogs, and Heather was kind enough to give me one of her half used bottles to try on Ginger.
We started using PetZLife oral spray about 2 weeks ago, every other day, and brushing every other day, continuing with the dental bones, and when we took Storm in to get his lump checked, Dr. M mentioned Storm may need a dental cleaning in the next few months and could do Ginger at the same time....BUT, as she said that, she checked Ginger and said, 'Oh! Her teeth look GREAT! She doesn't need a dental, so if you do whatever you're doing for Ginger on Storm, he may not need a dental cleaning either.'
So there you have it! - PetZLife Oral Spray works great!
Since Storm doesn't like the spray, we ordered the gel in hopes that'll be easier to get in his mouth! Storm sees the spray bottle, and he starts walking away! Ginger doesn't mind the spray.

| I had the same results with my old vet in WA. He told us Dakota would need a dental at his next check up in 2008. I started using the Petzlife Oral Care spray (peppermint) daily and brushing his teeth daily. Within a week or two the build up was literally popping off his teeth and at Dakota's next appt the vet commented on how good his teeth looked and said he no longer needed a dental. That was 4 years ago and his teeth STILL look great and he's never had a dental in his life (he'll be 6 yrs old next month)! Similar stories for my chi girls. We were told Faith would need a dental, started doing the Petzlife on her and at her next check up the vet was amazed at how good her teeth looked. Since using Petzlife on all 3 of my dogs, none of them has ever needed a dental and they all have healthier teeth now than they did when we adopted each of them. I could sing the praises of Petzlife all day long, I just can't say enough good things about it! _________________ |

| naturalK9supplies.com because it's cheaper for me than to buy it at a store here.
Melissa - you just need to get to that store since you're so close!

| Update - I ordered the salmon gel - thanks for the heads up on the doggies not liking the spray! The 4 oz one was $19.35 on Amazon, so I added a $6 box of Zukes treats and I got free shipping and no tax! Yay - $25 for the gel and the treats on amazon.com! |

It's $5 more at PetZlife....
Use BARK10 for the coupon code at NK9 for an additional 10% discount. _________________ |

| I'm so making a stop at Natural K9 over the weekend! I meant to go to get THK, but since I have a pet store a block away from my job that carries it I was lazy and just went there I doubt that they have PetzLife though so I will need to visit Natural K9! |

THK (at least Zeal is) about $12 cheaper at NK9S than most other pet stores that carries THK...I believe Zeal at NK9S is $98 vs. $108 for the 10 lb box. I usually have coupons that I can use at my local pet store that carries THK, otherwise, I'd be getting it from NK9S. _________________ |

| This is going to sound crazy but a few months ago I decided to use an electric toothbrush (my old one) on Adobo & Biko. The first couple of seconds they looked at me like WTF, then settled right down and seemed to enjoy it. I actually think its easier on them then before, with a manual t/brush your fighting and jamming at the same time, with the electric they mellow right out and spend about 30 seconds on each side of the mouth. It has helped dramatically. |

| Natural K9 Supplies is have 15% off (instead of the usual 10% discount) until the 8th of August!
I got the PetZLife Salmon Gel, and both G&S like it. I put a small amount on my finger to see how they would do with the taste and they licked it off.
I find the gel is easier with my 2.
Ginger will let us use the spray on her but she does like it...if Storm sees that bottle, he runs away and talks back to us.
The salmon gel for us better since they like the taste, and it's easier for us to pretend to just want to check their teeth, and then we move in for the swipe.
2 drawbacks about the gel, though: 1 - it does make your fingers smell like salmon 2- it cost $5 more (I think) and you end up using more, so the bottle wouldn't last as long as the spray

| LOL Faith runs for cover when she sees the Petzlife spray bottle come out. Dakota doesn't move but he tries to bury his head so you can't get to his mouth. Spray time is always interesting! _________________ |

| And I thought mine were the only ones to run and hide when they see me pick up the spray! My two were not big fans of the gel either, but it was the mint flavor. Sounds like ill have to try the salmon oil one next time. |

Storm is like Faith, and Ginger is like Dakota when the spray bottle comes out! They seem to do better with the salmon gel, for sure! _________________ |

| Bringing this thread back. I just got a 4oz bottle of the petzlife oral spray and began the regime this evening. He doesn't seem to love the spray, but he doesn't hate it either. Just wanted to see if anyone has used this stuff since this post back in 2011 |

| I still use it from time to time, but not regularly like I used to. My reason for not using it as much is that I found something else that I like even better (better ingredients, no fighting with the dogs to get it in their mouths, and very effective). I've been meaning to write a review of the stuff I use now but with a toddler and puppy and being pregnant, I just haven't had the time. _________________ |

| Ginger doesn't like the spray but will tolerate it. In the beginning, Storm would run from the spray after the first attempt. We use the gel and use it as 'toothpaste' and brush their teeth with it.
Val, what product do you like better? Do you get the same results as PetZLife? _________________ |
