Nero is quickly outgrowing his puppy collar and I wanted to buy him a nice thick belt sized leather one, rather than the narrow leather band type. Ideally I want a custom made one that contrasts his coat colouring and has his name stitched on it. Any suggestions where to get one from? Anyway...Show us what you guys are using...

I need to get out my camera, but Siku has several! lol. We went a little overboard and got her a bunch of cute ones from Earth Dog and a Steeler's one. I'll have to take some pictures of her wearing them, cause they are all really cute!

Check out the 'Indian Tan Leather' leash on this page...very slick http://www.ldsleather.com/braid.html And matching collar here...Trick Braid, the darker one on the right http://www.ldsleather.com/collars.html With Nero being white with brown/black coming through, I was thinking a light brown collar would go well with the leash. LoL I'm accessorising my dog, never thought the day would come!

mine just have plain old nylon webbing collars, blazes is blue, skylas is hot pink, just use these for tags not for walks, blaze has a blue ezydog harness for walks and skyla is on a nylon webbing hot pink semi slip (she did have a pink ezydog harness but she is too strong on it so has to wear a collar instead)

Kratos has an army green with cream & orange paw prints in nylon for his tags & a red nylon with puppies with devil horns & halos & matching leash that we bought from the vet to prevent choking. We're still working on his leash training, he loves to pull, lol.

I am just using a collar from Dollar General, pretty durable, standard weaving and buckle closure. [img][/img] [img] [/img] I am looking for a nicer harness or collar at some point, Sora decided to start chewing through her collars every time she was left alone there for a while... don't know exactly how she managed it, but she completely chewed the buckle. , so I went through at least 4 collars...so was kind of hesitant to buy something a bit more pricey. I have just taken it off of her while I am gone, but then it becomes a game to get it back on her. Silly husky!

Thanks for all the suggestions folks! Keep um coming Ezydog seems to be a very pupulor harness & leash combo, I'll probably get a camo set when Nero is abit bigger, as no doubt he will either have to grow into or grow out of whichever I buy now. What size are you guys running? XL or just L? Many people are choosing function over form which is great and totally understandable but most of the collars are pretty simple designs. When out in the bush or on hikes i would use the harness, but when walking in the city i'd just want the normal collar/leash. I'm wanting something functional yet "stylish" per se. Hey he's a cool dog so deserves a cool collar :p (Not to say all your dogs aren't cool, I just meant the breed is cool)

Well i can tell you when i go into "mom and pop" dog stores they have a HUGE collections of what i think are WAY cool and different looking collars but they come with $20+ price tags and i just don't have that, i chose the ruff wear which does have some different color options but i like the separate tag holder and then a metal ring for the leash so you don't risk hooking the leash to the tags and them pulling it apart and your dog goes running off, my husband has done that twice with sierra which is why i want a new collar for her. i like the function of it and the "name" of the company for making top of the line dog accessories. _________________

Now this thread has me looking at new collars! This Planet Dog collar is all natural made from hemp, and it has a fleece inside for comfort, not too pricey and they have various colors, and a harness and leash too. Anyone try a Planet Dog collar? http://www.planetdog.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=HEMP/FLEECE%20COLLARS That and I am sucker for Toile fabric! Although the black and white really wouldn't show up that much on Sora. This website http://www.yellowdog-design.com/index.htm has TONS of collars, pretty much any design you can think of...

I've seen the planet dog collar at a store. They do look really comfy, but they only had small ones at the store or I probably would have bought one. Earth dog collars are hemp too. I got the astrid, astrid 2, indi, and a plain black one. I ordered the Steelers collar from hotdogcollars.com. I ordered it at the beginning of the month and still haven't gotten it, so I can't say much for their customer service. They are SLOW!

Ok- screw pictures at this point.. here are the collars we have: http://alpineoutfitters.net/Secure/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=81 Hailey has purple and Koda is dark blue. I love it for the function of the martingale aspect, but I don't like that there's basically nowhere to put the tags apart from where you clip the leash. We use choke chain collars and these for that reason. However, these collars are SUPER durable and we have their leash and X-back harness too. Great quality goods for a very reasonable price. I love this online store! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand.

Edit: hotdogcollars wasn't the one being slow. It was the shipping company. I e-mailed them saying I hadn't received the package yet and they said the shipping company probably lost it and that they would resend my order. They were actually very quick to reply and had good customer service. But of corse they said they would start the reshipping process this morning and what do you know the package got here this afternoon! So hopefully they got my latest e-mail saying we got it. I'd feel bad if they sent it out again.
