I just got this done today! I couldn't be happier This is Loki's pawprint. We photocopied his paw, and the artist designed the rest on the spot. This photo was taken right after we finished. (The purple lines are template, and will wash off) What do you think:?:

That's beautiful! I love how the paint splatters use the negative space to create the paw. _________________

That's cute! I'm scared of getting tattoos, but I do want a paw print on my wrist or back. My rescue friend has one on her wrist and it's really cute. It's a tribute to her passed Husky. <3

Thanks everyone! jbealer- yes it is full sized VintageJeans - The upper arm and shoulders are probably the least painful places to get tattoos. And they are also easier to hide if you ever plan to work in a more conservative workspace! Wrists... not so much. seattlesibe - that's hardcore! haha

That is epic! Who photocopied the paw and how? I would love a tattoo of all my pups pawprints one day, thinking of having it travel up my arm with their names under or above each one.

Awesome, love the coloring! I got my past husky mix's paw print on my arm above a picture i had drawn of her after I had to put her to sleep. Our vet at the time inked your dogs paw print into a condolense card and sent it to you wheneve you lost a pet thats how I got mine, never noticed how large her paw actually was till then. I'm thinking of adding Bella and Jasper's paws but figure I should get something for my neices and nephews first.

Mobezilla - It took teamwork to get the copy. haha! My boyfriend lifted him and I placed his paw on the copier and pressed copy. It's kind of a fun story I think your idea is very cute too. Sheba&Kennedy - I was actually just trying to find a tattoo artist I liked in general, not really thinking of what I was going to get. I've really wanted a tattoo since I was 14, but never thought up a design I would really be in love with and could be dedicated to long enough to wear it forever. My friend linked me to Briana's portfolio (http://www.bujutattoo.com/29546). When I saw her paint drip work I KNEW that's what I wanted. And since Loki is always trying to help me with my art... a drippy paint paw print splatter with Loki's mark in the middle just made sense. I was also on a bit of a time crunch which forced my hand in getting it done basically on the spot. I'm moving out of SoCal after living here for 6 years on very short notice, and the artist is in San Diego. It was a logistical move getting it done before I left. I was very lucky that she was able to fit me in so fast. It must have been meant to be. <3 Bella_Jasper - That's so sweet of your vet. I wish I had my first cat's pawprint as a memento!
