So when my husband and i were talking about getting a dog there were really only 2 options a Britney spaniel or a Husky, based on our childhood dogs all though kens was a husky gsd mix. we thought about where we lived (Colorado) and the actives we liked to do (snowboarding, hiking, camping, fishing... you get the point out door stuff) and we decided on a Husky, we did all the research we could with out having a husky and we knew based on our current lifestyle and feelings we decided to adopt and not get a puppy. Where i am getting with this question is that i knew a husky would fit our lifestyle what i did not realize until our vacation while we were gone for 13 days how much my lifestyle had also changed to fit into our huskies. the first few days were ok but then the urges of needing walks grew and i found my self wondering away to go walk the neighborhood or walk the beach or go for a jog, i found that if i did not do a thing but relax i was going crazy and all i could think was this was all the huskies fought! all of our daily walks had grown on me and i could no longer just sit, i was acting like Jack! now i did not mind this new found way of thought and i found my self laughing... at my self for thinking such things. all i could think of on the flight home was to take my babies for a walk and enjoy the breeze from the wind. when we walked into the house and let them out of the cage sierra kissed me like she had never kissed me before and my heart just melted, i missed them so much and i know we made the right decision on what breed of dog to get, even if some of there traits are waring off on me! _________________

I'd honestly have to say a little bit of both for us. I would say for us it is more a husky fitting our lifestyle but I will admit that I have also changed a little myself to fit my sibes lifestyle as well. I think most of us get one to fit our lifestyle and inevitably we end up changing to fit theirs as well. _________________

I think it's a bit of both. I've definitely adjusted my life drastically in just having a DOG, not necessarily a husky However, they do make me want to get out more and go for walks downtown, etc It's definitely a give and take here. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand.

I didn't even choose a friggin' Husky. But I couldn't stand to see him go and not get the kind of attention that he obviously needed. Now that the Malamutes are mellow like they're supposed to be, it's definitely me fitting into the Husky's lifestyle. Except the hiking part. Once my mom got us out in the hills in 2008, it never stopped. It only got worse. The Husky fits that style perfectly, but I cannot say with certainty that I we would actively seek out another Husky.

Tommy had his elder huskies when we met, and I fell in love. Thought I knew all about Huskies....then we got Nanuk. It has been give and take ever since. I have never noticed a dog's personality so much as I have with our three amigos. While it has been a frustrating ride sometimes, I have to say their plain joy in life has taught me to slow down and enjoy....I find myself looking for that bird that's singing, the squirrel that is chattering. They and I enjoy our morning commune with nature. I have to say, only with a Husky would I think of being out in a blizzard on New Year's Eve, smoking ribs on the grill! So, while they have had to adapt to our schedule, we have learned to appreciate the robust way the live life and to just hang on for the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We most definitely fit into Logan's life. Walking everyday, spending so much time playing and grooming him, when we're not at work easily at least 50-60% of our time is dedicated to him. He doesn't really make many accommodations to fit into our life
