Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

So we have been feeding Odin Blue Wilderness after transitioning him off of the Eukaneuba over a 1 week period. Every since we have finalized the transition (3 weeks now) his stools are pretty soft and stick all over the grass when I try to pick it up. I have tried canned pumpkin and it has not really helped. Generally in the morning I will get one solid, nicely formed stool and the rest of the day it is fairly sloppy.

I am feeding him 3 cups a day over 3 meals. He doesn't always eat it all.

Odin is 3 months and 2 weeks so I don't know if his digestive system still needs time to adjust or what.

I am seriously thinking of switching him to Natural Instinct frozen raw and see how he does on that.

How were his BMs before you switched him over? Sometimes switching to a different subset (Wilderness, Freedom etc) under the same brand can work better, sometimes it's just the brand itself. Has he been dewormed?

He was clear for worms at his last vet appointment. His stools were fine before we switched and a darker color. Now they are lighter and softer. >.<;

I would say it may be too much food?? My pup is about a year old and she only eats two cups a day. But my pups were also like that on BB, as soon as I switched to TOTW they were fine. The food may be too rich for him.

Ill try cutting it back with the remaining BBW... If that doesn't work than I think it's time to switch...

Yea that sounds like too much food, I only fed Karli about 2 1/4 as a puppy and she gets even less than that now.

I am going to scale down the feedings to 2 1/2 cups and see how that goes. Also we will be trying out Orijen to see how he does on it. Smile I found a local supplier!
