Sensitive Stomach, Or?? Empty
PostSubject: Sensitive Stomach, Or??   Sensitive Stomach, Or?? EmptyTue Jul 16, 2013 3:20 pm

I'm not sure if Willow is being picky, or if maybe she has a sensitive stomach and we need to place her on sensitive stomach specific food. When we got her the guy was trying to tell us that she was eating Blue Buffalo. I feel like that was a crock of lies because she [a] had skin issues and [b] has had some pretty bad poops. Now, we went and got them different food because they have recently turned up their noses at the Blue Buffalo Wilderness Large Breed Puppy. I was going to try the Wellness Large Breed Puppy food but we went with the Solid Gold Wolfcub Large Breed Puppy food instead. Not sure if its a change in her diet, or what but we have slowly been introducing the new food. Bane will eat the Blue Buffalo Wilderness as well as the Wolfcub and loves it. Willow refuses to eat both and I was honestly considering putting them both on a bland diet for a week and then slowly introducing the kibble again. Any ideas?

Why are you wondering if this is a sensitive stomach issue? Do either of the dogs have loose stool, mucous in the stool, diarrhea, excessive itching, or vomiting? Any other indication they may have of food intolerance or allergies? I didn't see any mention in your original post of anything that would indicate a sensitive stomach...unless you forgot to mention something else.

I would not use a bland diet for the purpose of getting them interested in the food. Bland diets are generally best for resetting their digestive system when things have gone haywire and you want to get them back on track.
