Question- I live in Florida and my huskies hair is relatively short. I was wondering if his fur would grow longer and be more "fluffy" if we lived in a cooler climate.....

Idk if that's a dumb question or not? Not finding anything on the web. 

I really think this is true. I have a friend who lives in Nevada and her husky's fur is much shorter than mine here in Ohio. Also Pongo's fur is much shorter and less thick in the summer but when he blows his coat and gets his winter coat in, it is really really thick.

Huskies have alot of different kinds of coat from very short to wooly. I have two huskies in a very warm climate in Oklahoma on has a short slick coat the other one's coat is kind of a medium length coat she seems to shed alot in the summer months.., My male the one with the shorter coat seems to blow his coat them doesn't shed much until the next coat blow.

It might get a bit fluffier if you lived up north. I know a few dog show people who send their dogs up north in the winter to get more coat on them.

Their fur can adapt to climate to some extent however genetics plays the largest role in coat. Meaning their coat will generally only be minimally impacted by climate. My sibe is from the Pacific Northwest (NW WA state) and his coat has never changed whether we lived in WA or FL or SC. Now his shedding has been noticeably affected by climate but his overall coat has not.

We've lived in Colorado, Kansas, Northern California and now the desert of Southern California and I'd say yes! We've had 2 huskies over the years that we've actually moved from a cold climate to a hotter more humid climate, visa versa, and their coats adjusted once they were blown, thinning out in the hotter climates and thickening up in the cooler climate.
